This review is more about Paul than the house. This is the second year in a row that he bailed us out of a jam! Last year the house we had rented for my family's reunion was sold shortly before our stay and they had to cancel our reservations...this year the house we had rented was so horribly filthy there was no way we could stay there. I contacted Keystone rentals last year and they were able to set us up with this wonderful house...we were SO impressed with both the house and the service! This year I called Paul as a last ditch effort to find something clean - and he was able to do some juggling and get us in again. We are SO thankful!

This house is very well stocked! The set-up of bedrooms is great for multiple families (my father, brothers, sister, sister-in-law, nephews, niece-in-law, and my 5 kids had plenty of room). The basement is set up great for kids...one room has 2 sets of bunk beds, and another set of bunk beds is in an alcove of the great room...lots of room for the kids to play. Washer and dryer work great, and the area is beautiful! (The water even tastes great - coming from one who has to buy water to drink!)

The chalet is quite a bit farther north than we wanted to be....but it is near Harbor Springs and Petoskey...plenty to do and see. It is worth the trip.

For travelers with children...I would highly recommend the playgrounds at Harbor Springs school and Boyne City park. I recommend Bay View to everyone! Go up a block from the highway and check out the campus...absolutely beautiful!

I can highly recommend this chalet to anyone.

Stayed there for a get together in Aug of 2009 with friends from several states and one from the UK. It is an absolute beautiful area in the summer. The house was exactly what we needed. People we met in the area were friendly. Paul and Jennifer were very accommodating and easy to talk to. The house was very clean and the photos don't do it justice as far as comfort. Spent most of the time sitting on the deck. There is a decent sized convenience store a short walk away. I normally don't give 5-star ratings on many things, but I have to give this place top honors. It has already been decided that we will be back when it is my turn to host again. The only downside to it was a lack of wheelchair accessibility. The bathroom on the main floor would be difficult to get a wheelchair, or powered chair into. There was however room at the base of the stairs to the deck for a mobile ramp to be put down. It did not affect our group, but it would be difficult for me to take my father who is in a wheelchair, but could be done. This fact should not detract from it as it is in an excellent location for a lot of different activities, in all seasons.
