This is a spectacular house. It is beautifully designed, with clean modern architecture. The kitchen is fabulous, way above your average ski rental. The owner is very accomodating and a pleasure to rent from. There are beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, and you are truly a five minute drive from the northstar village. (you can walk it, but it is a somewhat rustic walk in the woods, taking about 10 minutes). All the amenities are provided, and we would definitely rent this house again.

Mostly good but some bad!

Pros:
- Great location with easy shuttle access to Northstar slopes (it comes to your driveway)
- Beautiful house, spacious, wonderful modern amenities
- House includes just about everything you need and more
- Absolutely loved the kitchen, especially great for those who plan to cook and dine in the house.

Cons:
- House needs some "deep cleaning." Almost everyone in my group had mild to severe allergies while in the house, but all symptoms always disappeared when we were out of the house. Mostly sneezing, scratchy/sore throats and itching.
- Also along the lines of cleaning: be warned if you're scared of spiders. There were a ton of spiders throughout the house (big and little ones).
- The main couch in the living room (where our group spent a lot of time lounging) is not as pictured here. It's an old, feather-stuffed blue couch that feels dirty and lumpy and is leaking feathers everywhere when not sticking you with them. It contributed to a lot of people's allergic reactions.

Overall, still a great stay. Just some disappointments here and there.

We just got back from our yearly ski trip with friends from college...this house was everything it's advertised as and more!!! Everyone was blown away with my choice of vacation homes for our group!
The house was super clean, and the kitchen included everything we needed to prepare and serve large meals!
The master bedroom/bathroom was especially impressive!
Colleen (the owner) was very helpful with feedback when I asked her questions!
I would definitely recommend this house to a friend!
While there, we skiied Northstar, Homewood, and Squaw. All 3 were great!
Overall, a great vacation! Only 1 week wasn't enough!!!

We just returned from Northstar, and were wowed by this home. Every detail was thought of from the robes for each guest down to shuttle that took us from our door to the slopes. The property was immaculate, and the ammenities beyond our expectations. 8 of us stayed and there was room for many more. We used the Sauna and Hot tub daily, as well as the huge kitchen. The layout made privacy possible for all the couples, and a great living room for all to get together. We were most impressed with the heated floors and tile bathrooms that really brought a level of class to the home. We can't wait to go back!

This house is beautiful! I want to move in and never leave. It's our second time renting and we'll be back next year for sure. I love the modern kitchen and the large 'great room.' Everyone can be together no matter where you are on this level. And the beds are heavenly-I've never slept so soundly. Thank you

Great Northstar @ Tahoe Luxury Home Rental

This home was all that it was advertised to be, and more. Great views, easy to get to, driveway was plowed, garage parking, and the house was incredible. The "in-floor" heat is awesome in the winter months, all select comfort beds in all bedrooms (with heating pads), no shortage of bathrooms, TV's in all bedrooms, sauna, outdoor spa and spacious living/family/dining & kitchen areas. For you tech-heads that must keep in contact via the internet (if you don't have an iPhone), there is a wireless internet or eithernet connection so you can surf as well as ski or ride your board. 5 minute shuttle to the village was great (no parking hassels), and Northstar is an awsome resort. The owners of "Chateau B______" were great and very responsive. We'll definately do it again. Happy Vacations! Terry & Suzanne
