Wonderful Setting

Our stay at the River's Whisper was absolutely wonderful. The setting is so peaceful and beautiful. The river is fabulous and the cabin has everything you need and more! I loved the proximity to many things to do and see such as white water rafting, hiking, kyaking, fishing and just plain exploring. Our dogs loved it too!
Owner's Response: It's wonderful to know that cabin is making for a wonderful vacation spot for everyone!

Beautiful Location

What a perfect spot. Mountain view and on the River. Nice
level yard for the kids and dogs to play. Easy access. Huge Master Bedroom and Great Room. Dining Room
that fit all eight of us. Only negative was the kitchen. Very
small and no cabinet space to store the things we brought.
We make most of our meals at home so this was a problem for us.

Beautiful, spacious home in a serene setting

My family stayed here over New Year's and we were just delighted with the cabin. The photos do not really do it justice.

The cabin was very clean, well equipped and everything was ready and looked wonderful when we arrived. The furnishings are lovely, comfortable and have just the right touch of luxury. We loved the upstairs bedrooms for the kids which gave us some nice privacy. The balcony off the upstairs bedroom gave a tranquil view. The cabin itself was really spacious and would easily accomodate a much larger group than our four. The hot tub on the deck was great and our kids had the best time making smores in the firepit by the river.

Shirl was so friendly, helpful and courteous in responding to our inquiry and helping us with our booking. Also, we received our security deposit back in the mail very, very quickly.

We would definitely recommend River's Whisper!

We absolutely loved River's Whisper. The ONLY less than perfect thing I can say is that the kitchen was a bit small for us.... but it was not so small that we wouldn't return. The house was beautful and all of the ammenities were outstanding. Would love to be there in the fall. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We loved it!!!!

This was our first time renting a cabin and I must say everything went smoothly. The house met our every expectation. It was spacious, clean and the surrounding area was peaceful and serene. The hot tub is a definite plus and the view was very nice. We had fun exploring the town and enjoyed our visits to the gem mines. We would definitely recommend River's Whisper.

This was our second time vacationing at River’s Whisper. The new addition was a welcome surprise along with the Jacuzzi on the patio overlooking the Little Tennessee River. The Great Room is just that! It’s large enough to hang out with the entire family and still have room to sprawl out on the floor with a board game. The house is very well equipped with everything one would need to stay for a week or longer, minus food of course. The two fireplaces are beautiful and well situated to heat the entire house or just the part you’re hanging out in. The décor is as amazing as anything you would see in a magazine and it just embraces the surrounding area.

Unbelievable mountain sanctuary!

Review Submitted: May 28, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2008
This beautiful mountain home is the perfect get away from the everyday grind. Talk about a change of scenery! The natural beauty of the land the property sits on and the surrounding land of the rolling hills equals the perfectly built and incredibly decorated, very large house in the beautiful smoky mountains. The extremely large porch provides a wonderful place to watch over and listen to the peaceful Little Tennessee river. Our family drove just a couple miles up the road and rode tubes about an hour down the river to finish at Whisper's River property. There's plenty of land with a field large enough for playing baseball, etc. Children can wander and explore outside very safely. We roasted marshmallows on the firepit beside the river. Every member of both of our families that shared the house absolutely loved every inch of it! As hard as it would be to choose my favorite room, I guess I'd have to say the master bath with the jacuzzi bath and glass shower. We jacuzzi'd every morning with a great mountain view. We watched the cows their babies on the hillside and heard the donkeys bray once each day. We saw wild turkeys and a mama duck with 6 ducklings on the river. We plan to go back and stay possibly annually here! We've always loved the Franklin area as there's never an ugly day in these mountains. Overcast to foggy to sunny to winter days are a like a breath from God. I thank God that these owners share their beautiful mountain retreat with others. No one should ever be dissapointed with their stay at River's Whisper.
Owner's Response: As you can see our guests have a great time and relax their cares away!!
