Rest, Relaxation & Recreation! Pine Mountain Club is the best kept secret in California! This beautiful pine forest getaway is a very special place. Situated below the peak of Mount Pinos, it is truly a spot to remember. Pine Mountain Club is an exclusive and low-key golf and country club which includes a nine hole PGA golf course, a tennis courts, a swimming pool, an equestrian center and club house with a great 19th hole, cafe and recreation room for kids. The club has a full calendar of activities including yoga, aerobics, music, and toddler/kids events. The village of Pine Mountain Club has wonderful restaurants, pubs, spa, gym, and shops (DVD rental store). The valley has incredible hiking, cross country skiing, sledding, horseback rides and dirt bike riding. This is not only a great romantic hideaway, but kids love the freedom to explore while parents de-stress. Awesome memories are made at PMC!

We felt like we were living in a deluxe tree house, up high in the
sky. The views and with wind in the pines were both awsome.
We felt alone, yet not isolated. Only one other cabin was
occupied that was nearby. The PMC has all the amenities
for a great stay, the locals directed us to waterfalls that we
hiked to and a well hidden swimming hole.
This is a place to relax and be. Thank you.

Owner's Response: The water fall is a popular hike. Mt. Pinos has great hikes too. We have framed a map in the cabin so you can plan day trips on a lot of local trails. Don't forget the horseback riding. The stables have horses to rent and you can ride up to the ridgeline and down into the meadows!

The location is great however the cabin needs some maintenance and repair. It would also be nice to improve the lighting in the cabin. The kitchen was not stocked with basic items as described by the website. The hot tub addition is very nice. Great cabin for traveling with dogs. We enjoyed the nice easy hikes nearby.

The cabin is nestled in a beautiful stand of pine trees and teh view down the valley is great. The hot tub is maticulously maintained and is in a relaxing spot. You are right about the hikes! They are close and offer everything from a easy meander through the woods to a challenging hike on the mountain. I have been doing the regular maintinence on the cabin for years. It is in good repair and only needs very minor items. I am sorry if you did not find something in the kitchen. I guarantee that it has everything anyone would need to have wonderful meals. I will make sure that it is stocked and that nothing is missing. Thank you for your stay. Many of my guests keep coming backand call The Lassen Cabin their home away from home. Please stay in touch.

Who knew there was such a peaceful mountain retreat so close to Los Angeles? Pine Mountain Club lived up to its billing as So Cal's best kept secret and the cabin was the ideal place to stay. It was well maintained, comfortable and had a great view. The location secluded enough to feel like we had gotten "away from it all" but still a short drive away from a bakery, cafe and general store. Our dog particularly enjoyed the dog run that the owner had thoughtfully set up, allowing him plenty of opportunity to excercise without getting lost in the woods. A great experience!

Many of the people that stay at the Lassen Cabin end up coming back again and again. They call it their get-a-way and that is fine with my wife and I. It is set up for romantic vacations as well as for children and for dogs. We love Pine Mountain Club! It really is a place to unwind and de-stress. I particularly recommend the horseback riding and the astronomy during the new moon on top of Mount Pinos. Please let us help you put together a unique vacation: we have links to all sorts of neat things to do... or just kick back and play the guitar and a game of scrabble! We have a great housekeeper who can stock the home with things you might need: flowers, wine, etc. Welcome!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. The cabin was cozy and comfy, with a beautiful view of the mountain and nearby cabins. The weather was mild and warm, we spent the first two days just relaxing, reading out on the deck in the sun chairs.... Its pet friendly, with an enclosed deck, and a 'dog run' (a cable strung between trees with a leash hook). This was great to let our dog roam a bit without the danger of running after squirrels or other wild animals! I was bummed the pool/spa wasn't yet open (I think it opens after Memorial day). There are tennis courts and a golf course for those of you that are interested. Also, there is a mini-village where you can get supplies, although I wouldn't recommend it for vegetarians/natural food folks like me - better to bring your food in, even the grocery in Frazier Park didn't have much I was interested in. There was a tiny natural food store which was never open when I stopped by unfortunately!
