Wonderful property, location and owner!

Review Submitted: October 13, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
My family of 4 (including a 7 and 13 year old) stayed in this charming 1 bedroom apartment for a week in Sept/Oct. The owner has thought of everything you could want while away from home: extra linens, umbrellas, a scooter for the kids and even discount cards for the local grocery store! The kitchen is well appointed and the washer/dryer worked great! The walk to the metro was short and safe and the walk to the Capitol Visitors Center was only about 20 minutes (1 mile). This apartment has easy access to the nearby freeway (don't worry, you don't hear the freeway) and if you have a car you are only minutes from Costco! I would recommend this condo to anyone traveling with children but it would be a little tight for 4 adults unless you are very close! Thanks Deborah for a great stay!

Great stay in Washington DC

Review Submitted: September 9, 2009 Date of Stay: December 2008
Three friends and I stayed here over New Year's Eve last year. The hostess was extremely helpful, and the apartment was clean and well-maintained. She even provided an air mattress for one of us to sleep on. The apartment is within walking distance of the capitol building, although we discovered that walking from the Lincoln Memorial back to the apartment was longer than we had anticipated. It is also a nice walk from the grocery store and the metro station. The neighborhood seemed very safe, and the kitchen was well-stocked.

I will say that we did not spend a ton of time in the apartment because we spent most of the day sightseeing. We had some good meals in the apartment though, and it cut down on the amount we spent in restaurants.

Overall, staying here was great way to see the capital, and for four college students who like walking, it was a wonderful place to stay.

Would Stay Again

Review Submitted: August 21, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
The apartment is in a great location (a few blocks from the metro) and we enjoyed having more room to spread out than a hotel room. The pictures are a little old in that there is no longer a trundle bed in the bedroom, however, there is a futon sofa/sleeper in the living room. It was wonderful that the owner provided all the little things---soap, detergent, paper towels, etc. The owner also had everything we needed for our little one--high chair and pack n' play. Parking is right behind the apartment. There were many places to eat out around the area and conveniently located grocery stores. The rate is very reasonable and we would definitely rent this apartment again.

Enjoyed our Stay - July 2009

Review Submitted: July 30, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
This apartment is in a great location ! Once we arrived, we left our car parked for the entire vacation and walked to the Metro . The apartment is clean and well equipped for travelling with children. The king size bed is very comfortable. Our family really enjoyed having a home away from home while exploring all the sites in D.C.

Location! Location! Location! This condo is in a lovely neighborhood. An easy walk to the Capitol, museums, restaurants, and Metro. Convenient to highways. The owners have thought of everything and the place has got all the comforts of a home.

A Great Getaway Spot Close To Everything

Parkman Cincinnati, Ohio
Review Submitted: March 23, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
My wife, two young daughters, and I spent a week in this wonderful condo. It was a great value: hassle free, all the amenities, close to all the major sights, clean, off street parking, and it even had a high chair for the baby. The unit is well located, with easy access to downtown and the highways. The owner, Debra, even provides maps to the the sights and local grocery stores. It is approximately four blocks to Eastern Market, a farmers' style market with fresh produce, cheese, fish, meat, etc. A wonderful spot to stay and enjoy all there is to see in DC.

Much Better than Expected

What a surprise to find a fresh, clean and new small fully equipped apartment, 4 blocks from the Metro. The neighborhood was beautiful, there is a European Bakery/Cafe 4 blocks away, the hostess called several times to make sure we were fine, the key-less entrance was a great amenity, the washer/dryer a big plus and she charged $10 less per night than the most inexpensive hotel room I could find in Washingon! Most charged a cleaning fee, she did'nt, which should be the norm. If it was excessively dirty, she would charge, which seemed quite fair. It was Wonderful!
