Beautiful Beach House: 5 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms, 1 half bathroom, sleeps 14

Enjoy the beautiful view while relaxing on the abundant decks of this beautifully decorated getaway. Wake up to the beautiful sunrise over the ocean, stroll along the wide stretches of beautiful beach, and for the more energetic, walk the 2.5 miles to the Virginia border and sign the guest book. Keep watch for dolphins frolicking in the surf. Close the day with a drink while watching the sunset over the sound. Enjoy a visit from the wild horses as they graze on the dunes. Relax on the deck rocking chairs or lounge in the hot tub while gazing at the spectacular night time sky. Explore one of the best undiscovered beaches on the east coast, where vacationers can truly get away from the traffic headaches and congestion that plagues other Outer Banks beaches in the summer months. The house is approximately 500 feet from the beach.

Wild Horses of Corolla: The wild horses of Corolla are not a myth, but can be seen in person as you relax on the deck of this beautiful vacation cottage. These horses are descended from Spanish Mustangs which roamed the Outer Banks for over four hundred years. Originally, the horses played on the shores with the Spanish conquistadors in the 1500's. Today there are about 60 horses which are protected by the government.

'Spotlight on North America Beachs' : An excerpt: Best Secluded Beach - Carova Beach, Outer Banks, N.C; Sand Color: Chardonnay; Length: 12 miles; Average Summer Water Temp: 79; Location: 27 miles southeast of Virginia Beach....This barrier beach covers the upper stretches of the Outer Banks and is the most undeveloped of an already Spartan beach chain. Part of what keeps the region mellow is the lack of paved roads, with Highway 12 stopping north of Corolla. Four-wheel-drive is a must, as the only route to these beaches is a ride on the sand or a primitive system of dirt roads connecting vacation homes in the wooded interior. Drive slowly to see the wild horses (descendants of shipwrecked Spanish mustangs) that roam the protected dunes. Check out Steamers Shellfish To Go - entrées from $12) in Corolla is a local legend for good reason. Their steamer pots (like clambakes to go) are perfect for a beach picnic. This house is AWESOME!! It was just a beautiful as expected- we loved it!! Every morning we saw a sunrise with the ocean, most mornings horses on the horizon, it was just simply PERFECT. The only thing I would recommend is that you realize that you are 9 miles down the beach, which takes awhile to drive down (we loved the seclusion but some may not). Definently let air down in your tires- DO visit the Firehouse for ice, ice cream, t-shirts. Shelling was fantastic and we saw dolphins from the beach. I would recommend and have already to others. We made many memories that are PRICELESS. Thank you!!

Just wanted to thank you for letting us use your home. We loved it. This was our first stay on Carova's 4wd section. The first trip up the beach was scary but it was on a busy Saturday. After the tide came up and the crowd went down it was awesome. We loved your home it was as clean as a pin. We saw the horses daily and loved that part to. It was Blackberry Winter so we had the heat on a couple of days. But after that it warmed up and the weather was great. We are hooked on Carova now so we will be staying there in the future..

My extended family enjoyed the vacation of our lives at this stunningly beautiful home. The owners have thought of every detail to make our stay absolutely wonderful. Location is perfect with views of the Atlantic Ocean, wild horses roaming the beach and awesome sunsets. The layout of the house is ideal and absorbed our large gathering with ease. Everyone loved the kitchen and common areas and commented on the spacious bedrooms that are decorated beautifully. We all had fun in the large pool and hot tub. We have already booked for next year and hope to make it an annual retreat. We have rented at the Outer Banks for 15 years and have finally found the "perfect house".
