Superlative in Many Ways...
Just wanted to pass on to you how pleased we were with your cabin. It was superlative in numerous ways, and we had a great time there. We made full use of the kitchen, grill, hot tub, fire pit, board games, and pool table, not to mention a bed for each member of the group. The boy who picked the sleeping porch bed said it was some of the best sleep he’s ever had. The cabin was easy to find and very well located for our various outings. Also thank you for the Elk River water fall tip. We had a great time swimming and playing on the rocks for a couple of hours before approaching storms ran us off.

Looking forward to our next visit...
What a great mtn home that you and your husband have! Although the weather
was rainy and foggy every day, we really had a great time. We plan to bid
on it again this year**, so maybe we can enjoy the hot tub and outdoor fire
pit on the next visit. We did manage a hike up to Callaway Peak/Profile
Trail on Friday. I'm still feeling that 9 miles! Thanks again and we look
forward to our next visit to your wonderful home.
**The house was donated as a silent auction item for The Flapjack Jam, an event that raises money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation**

Beautiful Setting

What a beautiful place you have here! There is nothing lacking - we will be back with more family and friends. Thank you for opening your home to us. Our first day here we were so excited we were all like little kids. Sugar Mountain was a blast - three days of skiing - yippee!

very nice!
Very nice place. We had a wonderful time. Thank you for providing plenty of fire wood and returning the security deposit promptly. We did have winter weather while there and the comunity had all the roads scraped and salted in a timely manner.

Chunky Dunkin
The Rocky Roost is very convienient and easily accessable. It is spacious enough for a group of 10 to feel comfortable while providing a sense of closeness with everyone in the group. The layout is ideal and the rustic wooden beams and fire place provide a wonderful setting for an ideal mountain vacation; even if its just for a weekend. The roost also comes with everything that was advertised on the webpage. It is easy to see that the property is well taken care of! The location is ideal in that it is centrally located, I feel , to the major attractions in the area. The owner made the reservation process easy and made herself available to answer multiple questions. I will definately be booking this cabin in the future. I would also strongly reccomend this venue to anyone planning a vacation in the Boone/Banner Elk area! I would also like to mention that some of the decorations in this house are hilarious!!

Beautiful Home!
We had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed the house! We did not expect the ice and snow the first night and had a tough time getting out of the neighborhood(pretty steep roads) without a vehicle with 4-wheel drive. Fortunately we were put in touch with a local transportation company and had a wonderful driver come and pick us up each day and take us back and forth to Sugar Mountain to ski. The home has everything you need and lots of firewood available! We played many of the board games they had! The downstairs is great for kids to hang out and the gas fireplace keeps everything warm and cozy! Thank you for sharing your home with us!
