New Years in a Winterwonderland

We had a wonderful time at the cottage, which we shared with another family, so 4 adults and 4 kids ages 10 -15 and 2 dogs, for a week over New Years. The cottage was clean and very comfortable, with enough bedroom, bathroom and living space for all. It is close to Butternut, a great family ski area and Great Barrington, a beautiful little town for strolling around.
The cottage is surrounded by woods and close to the lake so we spent lots of time walking and hiking.
We hope to go back again next year.

My sister and I rented this lovely cottage sight unseen and we were absolutely delighted with our stay. The pictures do not do it justice. The house is well appointed, very clean, and quite comfortable. The owner made sure that we were very well taken care of both before and during our stay.
We chose this rental because it was near the Appalachian Trail and we spent our week section hiking the AT and doing other great hikes in the Berkshires. It was all we had hoped for - they even welcomed my sister's dog!

One never knows how things will turn out when arrangements are made on line. I want to comment on how wonderful it was to work with the owner of this property, from start to finish. She answered all our questions, went the extra mile to accomodate our needs, and treated us like family, although we had never met or spoken on the phone.
It is refreshing to encounter this kind of personal attention and concern in a world where our electronic dealings and meanderings hold no guarantees. She was a pleasure to work with, and we could not have asked for a better experience.

Christmas in a Winter Wonderland Cottage

We spent a week this year over Christmas enjoying the Berkshires, Snowboarding at, Butternut, the local ski hill and enjoying the communities in and around Great Barrington.
The Cottage was great for our family. Four nice bedrooms upstairs provide lots of space for private time. They were clean and the beds were very comfortable. The two full bathrooms had great showers and are nicely appointed. The main floor is very comfortable and cozy with lots of room for relaxing and dining.
The area is great - the lake is nearby and there are good places for long walks.
The owners went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable - she even decorated a Christmas tree for us.
We had a great family Christmas and the cottage made it very special. We would highly recommend this property to anyone and will book it again ourselves.
