It's a very roomy house, well laid out, decorated and appointed. As with all rental properties there is the occasional wear-and-tear but overall excellent. The kitchen is fully appointed, appliances are a little dated, but all very clean and fully functional with a lot of countertop space. The bathrooms are well appointed with good hot showers. It is about a mile from Montpelier center but on a fairly busy road with some speeding traffic (over 40 mph) so traffic noise was more than expected, although the house is well insulated, still enough to distract when you're not used to it. Our major concern was access, as my wife has a disability that makes climbing stairs very hard. The front door is accessible by an stone pathway with uneven stone steps. The only other access was by the wooden stairs to the rear to the deck, which at least had a banister to assist her, All in all not compatible with disabled clients. Also the pictures show a living room with leather recliners and a large TV which we hoped would be comforable for the evenings, none of which are actually in the house anymore, and the new TV is small. Locally there are many restaurants of all types and most of the area amenities are within an hour's drive at most so a good central location. The internet access is good and speedy and the hot tub is comfortable, well-heated and very clean. There are plenty of ceiling fans, but no A/C can make it a little uncomfortable during a heatwave.
