I can not describe to you how badly our family needed a trip away for the everyday grind. Having 6 children that range in age from 7-23 it is extremely hard for us to all agree on a family vacation. This year I took things into my own hands and planned one without them knowing where we were going. After much searching on line for the perfect cabin, I found this one. Sandy was so helpful in planning our trip and made us feel right at home. With our youngest child having ADHD and High Functioning Autism, we worried that the trip would be tough and challenging for him. We were pleasantly surprised by his reaction. The cabin was more than we expected. Very clean, organized, and wonderfully decorated. It had everything we could possibly need. We had rented several hotels, and condos in the past and always been disappointed with what was provided as "convenience" items. Sandy has thought of everything, right down to separate towels for the hot tub. The beds were very comfy, the coffee hot, and the internet fast. It even snowed..I still wonder what pull Sandy has with that little surprise.LOL.. All the kids agreed that it was by far the best vacation we had EVER had. There is tons of things to do, all close by. Having the wireless internet was great in planning our outings, but don't pay attention to the trip time that Google maps ,ect. gives you...it was always much shorter. I personally loved the extra outdoor space this cabin had compared to many of the others that high up. Tons of space to move around outside. The kids even had a snowball fight. We got to watch wild turkey, as we had our morning coffee on the screened porch. So many movies, video games, and even a game table. The kids hiked down the back of the cabin and said that there was a wonderful little creek at the bottom of the first hill. So much to enjoy that you don't even need to leave the mountain to have a blast. We ran out of time long before we ran out if things to do. We went to the panning for gold, visited a German village, and visited a couple of the state parks. No one wanted to come home. Read the guest book at the cabin when you get there, great ideas from previous guests.
