House, 5 Bedrooms, 4.5 Baths, (Sleeps 10)
The house is a retreat away from the fast past lives we live. The ocean views are endless. The green trees and wildlife are beautiful. The people are friendly and well educated. Most locals speak a little English. The surf is fun an uncrowded. Our home is on a bluff. We are a 5 minute walk to a white sand beach. The walk back is very steep up the hill. We drive to the parking lot for the beach. It is a two minute drive. The house is located in a very safe resort of Punta Leona. Inside the resort, there are 3 restaurants, a small convenience store, and other activities. We are about 20 minutes from Jaco.

An Olympic Gold Medal winner at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia Eric has been a dominant and consistent force on the AVP Tour for the past 16 years. He won at least one tournament for seven straight years between 1998 and 2004. Fonoi is a former AVP Most Valuable Player and is in the top 10 in terms of all-time tournaments played. I bought this vacation home because I wanted a place that was safe, fun for my family, and most important I wanted an ocean view home near the beach. I grew up by the beach and I will always live near the beach.
My favorite part of the house is sitting on the deck staring at the ocean. It is so peaceful and relaxing. I enjoy watching the birds flying by and sometimes the monkeys come by to visit. The house is only a few minutes walk to a beautiful white sand beach. I recommend to drive because the walk back up the hill is steep. It will take about 2 minutes to get to the beach by car. If you like the outdoors and adventure, this home is centrally located. When you are out and about, keep your eyes peeled because you never know what you might see like rare birds, monkeys, racoons, etc...

We also enjoyed the beautiful beach at the bottom of the hill. After having swam in the warm ocean, we tasted refreshing ceviche and margaritas at the beach restaurant while being visited by monkeys and coati mundis. We saw our first sloth at the nearby national park, and zip lined in close proximity to the house.
One of my favorite moments was being on the roof top early in the morning, watching the macaws and toucans in the nearby trees.
We truly had an amazing vacation and we look forward to going again soon!

I'm sorry that the house was not perfect for your stay. It is a third world country and the electricity and water do go out once in a while but returns in a few hours. It is an inconvenience but not that bad considering all of your beautiful surroundings. In the future, I will also think twice about renting to a group of 9 adult males. Our housekeepers were not very happy upon your departure. We did return your full deposit because we felt bad that your stay was not perfect.
