A Wonderful Weekend Getaway

Eoin F Waterford, Ireland
Review Submitted: January 6, 2009 Date of Stay: November 2008
While visiting some friends in Boston for two weeks we rented this farm house for a few days as a Vermont getaway. It was our groups first visit to Vermont and I would highly recommend it for European visitors.

We enjoyed our stay at the house, which was accurately described. The property was charming, very clean and well maintained and within a few miles of beautiful Woodstock and many other attractions. Our only regret was that we did not visit a little later in the year as we all love to ski.

The owner was helpful and friendly and the rental was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to experience a taste of the Vermont lifestyle.
Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind words Eoin. We're always happy to accomodate traveling Europeans and look forward to seeing you again, perhaps later in the season next time!

We had a great trip to Vermont!

Review Submitted: October 17, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
We had a fun time staying at this rental house, it was the perfect size for our group of 3 couples. While there we visited two breweries and had a great time driving through Woodstock and stopping at all the local farmers markets and small shops. The only thing we could have wished for was cable on the tv since we had a lots of sports fans in our group but we solved that by heading to Bentley's right in Woodstock to watch! The small store right across the street was great to grab a quick breakfast, the apple cider there was delicious. It was a relaxing weekend and the leaves were gorgeous!
Owner's Response: Always happy to address our renters feedback: Cable TV is now in the works. Thanks for your comments, Becky!

Great family vacation spot

The place was quaint and cozy, minutes from a number of destinations. We have stayed here several times, in all seasons and have had a wonderful stay each time. It is only 15 minutes from beautiful Woodstock and 10 minutes to Mt. Ascutney (a very reasonably priced place to ski).

Home away from home

Travers Massachusetts
Review Submitted: October 9, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2007
This home being just on the outskirts of charming Woodstock makes for an amazing getaway. The home is quiet and appealing with that small town feel and plenty of room for any number of guests. I found it convenient to have a locally owned market in walking distance for those last minute provisions. Any ride from this home was picturesque and memorable being that it's situated in the mountains. I would recommend making this trip in the autumn to do a little leaf peeping. It’s also just minutes away from some great skiing. A stay also wouldn’t be complete without exploring Woodstock’s many shops along their delightful main street or peering down Quechee gorge. Not to mention a trip to Sugarbush Farm for some locally crafted cheese or some fudge from Fool on the Hill. It’s a relaxing place to kick back and snuggle on a cool night with the warmth of the wood stove with some good friends. I recommend it for those that like the feeling of home in lieu of a dull hotel room.

Everything a VT rental should be. A lovely, old farm house, very clean and nicely decorated.

Owners couldn't have been nicer.

Pleanty to do nearby. Can't wait to get back there with friends.

Great Time In Vermont

Persie Plymouth,MA
Review Submitted: August 26, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2008
We spent three days here and had a wonderful time. The area is just beautiful and because it's in a village, it feels like home. You've got to go to the general store, just steps away and try their bacon....yummy! The house is quaint, very comfortable and clean. We have actually stayed there a couple of times...not far from Woodstock, Stowe and the Burlington area. What luck, there is a neighbor that makes his own maple syrup too. What a treat to buy it and at a good price. We would absolutely recommend to anyone planning a vacation in Vermont.
