WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PLACE!!!!!!!!

WHAT CAN WE SAY?

"WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PLACE!"

We have just got back from spending our Christmas vacation here, we spent a whole 5 weeks in this gorgeous apartment. It is everything it says it is and more, until you actually see this property and stay in it only then will you realize that the website does it NO justice at all !!

We visit Los Angeles maybe 2/3 times a year and we have been coming here for the last 9/10 years, always staying in hotels, until this time we were finally brave enough to book an apartment, this is not only the best decision we have ever made, but the best vacation and christmas we have EVER had by far, needless to say we will always stay here from now on - and there will be NO more hotels!!!!

It was a real treat to come in after a day out and Leonnore, the maid always did a wonderful job in making sure everywhere was spotless clean and immaculate for our return and all our washing done etc etc, also a real treat to leave LA with a suitcase full of clean clothes!!!!

The apartment was everything you could ever want and wish for and has everything you could ever need.

The location absolutely perfect (you could not of picked it up and placed it anywhere better) - just to sit on the patio and take in the spectacular and breath-taking views, complete privacy and peaceful surroundings will stay in our minds forever - or at least until the next time!!!! (As we have already pre-booked our return)!!

We cannot say enough about this property only that it is the perfect experience away from home and we truly mean that, so if you were like me-thinking shall i book this-believe me youll be so glad you did! The ONLY bad experience we had "was having to pack up and leave after such a WONDERFUL 5 weeks!

Finally i want to finish by saying what a lovely lady Debra is, not only a true professional who made sure everything was 100% for us and our stay, but she was the finishing touch to a perfect vacation!
THANKS Debra, Baxter and Loui
See you again soon

Perfect Place.

We stayed in this wonderful property for a week. This location is wonderful. We had decided to stay in the centre of Hollywoood so that we could walk with our girls. Unfortunately our middle daughter had a little accident just before her vacations and she could not walk without crutches. But even then we found going around very easy from this location.

Debra is a wonderful host. She was very helpful in giving us directions and also in helping us over and above what was required. We came back to London with fond memories of not only the location, but also of our host!

I will recomend this place very much.

Wonderful!

I would like to say that we had the time of our lives in this "Old Hollywood" apartment. The locations is perfect! Of course, LA traffic is always bad, but being in the heart of Hollywood, we rarely used the freeway. If fact, we saw two performances at the Hollywood Bowl (the symphony and Diana Ross) and were able to walk to them both... has to be just about a than a mile walk.

The apartment is quaint, the French doors open to an amazing view and a very spacious deck, and the location is wonderful. The only complaint we had was the parking is a bit tough, but... we always seemed to manage.

The place helped to put a spark back into our 17 year marriage. Thank you!
Owner's Response: Just to clarify, the Hollywood Bowl is a .2 mile-walk around the corner.

Great patio, but too many deal-breakers

LBC Texas
Review Submitted: September 26, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2008
That lovely patio just can't compensate for the rest.

The unit is on a steep, trashcan-lined public street with insufficient parking. The sidewalks leading to the unit are in poor repair, with dangerous uneven surfaces and chipped pavers.

The unit had a musty odor which persisted, even though we opened both sets of french doors for several hours each morning and used lots of air freshener. This mustiness was quite noticeable on fabrics and pillows, in cabinets, and in the closet. Missing amenities included the hair dryer, paper towels (a quarter roll for one week?) and trash bags (one?). There is also only one bathroom, not two as indicated.

The kitchen was well equipped, but there were residual grease smudges on the burner pans, the stove back, the crock of utensils, the flatware dividers, and the glass tray in the microwave. Milk left by the previous guest was still in the refrigerator. The blender container and lid were dirty. We began our stay by washing everything.

The noise level was fairly high: utility construction, the telephone (tons of solicitation calls), and a nearby infant. Every neighbor's lawn crew seemed to arrive on a different day.

Overall location was fine, but the main ingress street is blocked off to all incoming traffic each time a nearby facility has an event (total of three nights during our stay.

No property is perfect, nor would we expect it to be. We could have overlooked some things, but the combination of issues was more than enough to change our minds about returning.
Owner's Response: This review is a bit shocking because I always make it a point to check in with my guests to make sure that all is well, which is what I was told by this person. In any case, I have replaced the housekeeper with an amazing cleaner who also keeps the place well-stocked (someone must have taken the hair dryer but I've now replaced it). I'm not sure what the reviewer means about the bathroom; only one is advertised. Regarding parking, this guest chose not to take advantage of the garage. And as for noise, this is the Hollywood Hills, but most of my guests fall in love with the apartment and the neighborhood and many, many of them return time and time again. The nearby event facility to which she refers is the Hollywood Bowl -- which is only open during the summer and is considered a huge bonus by most of my guests who love the fact that they can simply walk around the corner to see this world-class venue -- and the traffic is never blocked to visitors and residents, only to interlopers.

This is the second time I've stayed in this beautiful home in this fabulous location. Photos and a checklist description can not begin to elaborate how lovely this place is. And I continue to be impressed by the graciousness of the home's owner. It's a perfect experience away from home.

Just an amazing place, with an incredible view to
come home to every night. I just spent almost two
months here, and was sad to leave. The best part
was seeing the look on my co-workers' faces who
were staying in hotels at discounted rates that were
still more than what I was paying to stay here, when
they'd come over for a drink on the patio or a steak
prepared on the grill. They were truly incredulous
that you could live in a home this nice for less than
a hotel.
Clinching the whole experience is an incredibly cool
and very flexible owner. I can't recommend this
place enough for stays in LA. A fantastic home in
the Hollywood Hills vs. a 400 sq. ft. hotel room with
a bunch of lame tourists? I'll be staying here from
now on.

I've worked in production for 15 years and never knew
LA had places like this. Not only beautiful, but private,
tranquil and still close to everything we needed. The
owner was very helpful and accomodating -- a total
professional! We'll be back.

This truly wonderful home was everything the
description claimed and more. I had no idea such
charm existed in Los Angeles. It's the only place I plan
to stay in LA.
