A great experience in MonteSol

The condo is well-kept with a relaxed & comfortable feeling overall. You could see Vieques Island from the patio on a clear day.
Overall the place was in perfect condition & only a five minute walk to the beach @ Four Points. Close to Carracoles Restaurant (amazing food), the pool & even a decent gym.

Hector Robles was very accommodating & hospitable. He was key in guiding us to the better things to do
<i.e.Deep Sea Fishing w/ Mateo @ Maragata, Bio-luminescent Bay Kayak in Los Croabas, to the real touristy stuff like San Juan Bautista (El Morro) >

All in all.... We say THUMBS UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks, Hector..

March 6, 2009, Long Weekend Stay

MN Flatlander Minnesota
Review Submitted: March 13, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
My family stayed at the condo for a long weekend. The condo was very well maintained, clean and comfortable. My family felt safe with the security of the compound and then the local guard gate at the entrance to the condo group.

The location on top of the hill was great, an overview of the resort area. We did not need to use the air conditioning with the wind blowing daily.

The main living area was well apointed and had plenty of room for more than a family of three. The beds were comfortable and well maintined. The kitchen had a large refrigerator with freezer to accomodate the supplies needed.

The cable TV and Internet worked well and gave a wide variety of US based TV channels along with a good base of local programming.

The owner helped with the local attractions and directions to the supermarket and shopping near the condo.

The beach area is a 15 minute walk from the condo, if you are going to be making several trips a day the rental of a cart would be money well spent. The boogie board in the condo was great fun in the waves.

My overall rating is a GREAT place to stay and very comfortable. I look forward to a return visit in the near future.

Great Villa

Review Submitted: February 14, 2009 Date of Stay: January 2009
First of all the owner, Hector, is a great host. I have been going to Palmas del Mar off and on for over 20 years and still Hector was very helpful to us.

The villa is in one of the older communities within Palmas, very clean and well maintained. The location of the Villa was one of the nice features. It was central to all the surrounding amenities. This community borders on the tennis center, which has a snack bar and health club, right next to the community’s great pool.

Palmas has a lot of activities, too many to list, but the basics that my party liked was the weather, beach, pool and golf.

I would certainly recommend this property.

PERFECT!

Review Submitted: January 23, 2009 Date of Stay: December 2008
As you can see by all the previous reviews, this is a vacation villa worth renting! It was our first time in Puerto Rico and after travelling around the island I was sure glad we decided on staying in Palmas del Mar ! We never saw anything that matched the quality or luxury. The owner is a lovely person always willing to help without intruding on your privacy. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!

Very Nice Villa

Review Submitted: December 29, 2008 Date of Stay: December 2008
As noted in the previous reviews, the owner was great. He was very responsive to need and the villa was very well equipped. Some reviewers noted the need for a cart to go to the beach, but we found that it was a nice/easy walk to the beach and save on the cart rental. Definitely rent a car, though, so you can go to San Juan or other areas of Puerto Rico. The ramp to the villa was great as I have a bad ankle and found it very accessible ~ even the walk to the beach was fine.

Wonderful Time!

Las Nenas San Juan
Review Submitted: December 6, 2008 Date of Stay: November 2008
We were invited for Thanksgiving dinner at Palmas, and decided to make a vacation out of it... We rented this villa (and a golf cart...!), invited my parents to join us, and had a wonderful time! Palmas in itself is another world... And the villa complemented our stay...

My first positive impression was with the owner, who was very helpful in giving insight on the best beaches in Palmas, activities going on during the Thanksgiving weekend, and help in renting the golf cart.

The villa is in very good condition, and comes completely equipped, 2 TV's, cable, wireless internet access, washer/dryer, etc. He even supplied the kitchen with the basics for a late arrival! Since we had older folks in our group, I was concerned with a 3rd floor villa -- no need to worry, since this particular villa has a ramp entrance from the parking lot to the villa, no stairs.

We had such a great time, that my daughters want to go back next month! Highly recommended!

Review of Palmas Del Mar -

taino Chicago, Illinois USA
Review Submitted: July 14, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008
My wife and son spent 5 nights at Palmas Del Mar-. While we were in Puerto Rico 14 nights, this was the best place we stayed at! The condo and resort were fabulous. The condo was spacious, clean and well maintained by the resort and the owner. Palmas has excellent security. The owner made us feel welcome. He met us at the condo and provided food items to get us prepared for our stay. In addition, he provided a lot of information about places to see, where to go and how to get to the site seeing locations. On a personal note, the owner called us various times to assure that everything was going well. The condo was great! The amenities were great. We had cable TV, a DVD player with movies, air conditioning and much more. The bath rooms, bed rooms, living-dining room and kitchen were very nice. The terrace view and glass wall outlooking the back of the condo toward the beach was excellent. I would recommend this resort and condo to everyone! When we return to Puerto Rico we will book our entire vacation period with Palmas del Mar !!!! We have already told our family and friends about Palmas and expect a group for next year. See you in Palmas!!!!! The location of Palmas is excellent for sight seeing all the way to El Yunque, Rio Grande, Luquillo, Fajardo, Ceiba, Naguabo, Puenta Santiago and this is only going east and north of Palmas. Had we had more time we would have ventured south and west from Palmas.
Thanks for making our vacation the best!

Pristine resort, lots of extras, great owner

We got in late, the owner was gracious. Some food and beverage was generously provided and appreciated, especially with 2 young children in tow (big plus right there). Spacious, excellent view of resort. Free WiFi allowed email communications, after finding our cell phone provider didn't cover PR as well as they claimed.
Owner provided excellent maps and assistance throughout our stay. The kids enjoyed horseback riding and the beach (of course). Resort is on a half-moon bay, so there is usually at least one area without large surf even on a moderately windy day. Nice breeze, upper level.
We had breakfast at the Tennis Club, and Pizza at a shopping plaza within the resort, both good, won't break your budget.
