Stayed twice and loved both times!

We have tried several vacation rental properties in the Asheville area. If you don't know Asheville and want a great place to stay that is scenic and centrally located, then definitely book a stay at this property! There are views from each room, the amenities are great (especially the massage chair) and the property owner is wonderful.

A getaway that's not too far away

I recently rented this house with several friends for a long weekend in Asheville. The house itself is located in a great location on the side of a small mountain. I would recommend a four wheel vehicle if you will be traveling here during the snowy months. The house was very clean and set up nicely for 6 to sleep comfortably. It has all the amenities you need (full kitchen with utensils, big screen tv, washer/dryer, cable, internet, etc.). The massage chair was a big hit and the new coach in the living room was extremely comfortable. All of the bedrooms and bathrooms were very spacious and there were plenty of clean towels. The beds all had clean sheets and were all very comfortable. The view from any room in this house is just simply amazing. I have been to several places in asheville and none of them had comparable views. Sitting on the large porch in the rocking chair and watching the sunset/sunrise was one of the best parts of the whole trip. The location is a little over a mile from downtown. Very accessible to the main roads/highways. A cab ride from downtown to the house was only $6.50! I would recommend this house to anyone and everyone. The property owner was very helpful and courteous. I will be staying here next time i come to asheville.

Convenient, Comfortable...and a Spectacular View!

We spent Christnas Week 2008 in this spectacularly located house. The location is superb.. convenient to everything (downtown in 3 minutes), yet comfortably nestled on a mountain side keeping you insulated as if you were far away in the woods. The house is well-equipped with all necessities and provides a dream-like view of the lights of Asheville and a sunset over the distant Smoky Mountains. We will return!

We enjoyed the house so much. It was so hard to get off the porch, the view was amazing. Between all of us and some born and raised in Asheville, have never seen that view before. Also the view from the rooms allowed you to just lay in bed and watch the sunrise, it was absolutely breath taking. Thank you for everything. We will be using you again in the near future.

A great place to stay

We really enjoyed staying at this location. The house is wonderful and the view of the city is incredible. The only issue was some parts of the house were not cleaned (eg, one of the bathrooms). I already address this with the property owner, and he told me he would be sure his cleaning service does a better job.
The kitchen is moderatly stocked with most cooking and baking items. There was no vegatable peeler however.
Asheville has plenty of places to have fun. Havn't found a restaurants I didn't like, and the Blue Ridge Parkway isn't far either.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience. I would recommend this property to all.

Ashville with charm

Review Submitted: December 23, 2007 Date of Stay: November 2007
My wife and I spent three days and had a wonderful time. Firstly the house is beautifully decorated, simple yet charming, with everything you could want including perhaps the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on in my entire life, and I have slept in plenty. The views are quite stunning as you are up on the side of the mountain overlooking the town with the Smokey mountains in the distance. We only used the main floor bedroom, but with a separate ensuite upstairs and downstairs it would be fun to have friends along for the ride.
We loved the Biltmore and downtown Ashville, all in all a great getaway, without the fuss and people of a hotel, quite romantic and I'm 65, Rob.

Best place in Asheville

The house had a lot of room and character and was clean and all the furnishings were in good shape. The location is the best because it affords a fabulous view of downtown Asheville, not only from the spacious screened in porch but from 2 bedrooms as well! The view includes not only the city lights but, mountain ranges too. Did I mention the sunset? It was very easy to get to and you can be at a great restaurant or shop in minutes. Don't stay without trying the massage chair. I would recommend this home to everyone! The added plus is that the owner was a truly nice person and very responsive.
