A taste of heaven

Spectacular is the only way to describe this vacation villa. The panormaic views are second to none. We spent countless hours pool side after days at the island beaches. The villa is spacious and lacks nothing for amenities. We used 3 of the 4 bedrooms. Each had it's own balcony and bathroom and ours had an outdoor shower which was a noce touch. The pictures don't do enough justice to what you'll experience. And the island itself is as wonderful as the villa.

Everything was spectacular. We absolutely loved the island, and the home was even better. So beautiful, welcoming, comfortable, and there are no better views anywhere on the island. We spent the mornings and evenings at home, enjoying the pool and the gorgeous view. Most days we ventured out to one of the many suggested beaches and restaurants, in search of the best rum punch. The weather was fabulous, but the 5-10 minutes it rained on occassion left a beautiful rainbow. All our meals out were great, and we enjoyed cooking in in the gourmet kitchen as well. Our family had a wonderful, completely relaxing family vacation. We all wanted to stay longer, and we all want to go back. And we did find the best rum punch. We all had a wonderful stay at Grand Outlook Castle. The Castle exceeded our expectations, it was very private, comfortable, and very open with lots of room. The scenery was breathtaking and we enjoyed our days and nights in the infinity pool looking out to Crocus Bay. The accommodations were wonderful and everything that you needed was available at the Castle. We enjoyed our daily breakfasts, lunches, barbecues, and dinners outdoors as we watched the boats on the bay and the beautiful sunset over the ocean. Anguilla is a wonderful place to discover, to relax, enjoy the beautiful beaches..and best of all to hang out at the Castle. Eilleen, the housekeeper, was really nice and non-intrusive. Paul was very helpful in getting us all setup and very accommodating. He's wonderful to work it (thank you Paul for everything). Paul and Elise you have an amazing place and thank you for sharing it with us. We miss it already and can't wait to be back. Thank You !

First of all, many thanks to Paul and Elise - the level of communication and help given were tremendous. GOC is a fantastic property in a prime location. We visited late April with another couple. The house is easily big enough to accommodate 8 in true comfort - no one would feel as if they were shorted on the bedrooms.
With this house though, you must start with the view and the beautiful pool/patio to enjoy it from. We watched turtles swimming and the boats coming in and out of Crocus Bay and Little Bay. Sunsets are an extraordinary event here. Inside and out, the house has everything you need - gated for the extra security factor (though I hardly doubt it's needed), washer/dryer, wine fridge, big screen tv (I think we turned on once), indoor/outdoor sound system and a large gas grill.
For those visiting Anguilla the first time, you are two minutes from Crocus Bay where Calvin can run you to Little Bay by boat, less than 10 minutes to Sandy Ground, about the same to Shoal Bay and that endless white sand and only 15 minutes or so from West End. This is truly the heart of the island and highly recommended. No doubt, another GOC stay is in our future.

We had a fabulous time at the Grand Outlook Castle. The house was great - we especially loved the outdoor shower, the way we never needed air conditioning because of the breezes at night, the views of course, the pool, and the spectacular sunsets. And the guys appreciated being able to watch March Madness on the flat-screen satellite TV.

The housekeeper was wonderful, so nice and unobtrusive. We always felt safe in the house, and on the island in general. The house was extremely well-equipped and very clean. The gardens were beautiful and the pool area was wonderful (make sure you find the switch for the pool light at dusk). The only negative was some construction going on down at the beach to the left - the noise carried up easily to the house but once they are finished there will be what looks like a great restaurant within a 2-minute drive of the castle.

Also a rental car is a must - you cannot walk to the beach and the beaches are the main attraction on this island. It was very easy to get around as long as you remember to drive on the left!

All in all we had a wonderful, relaxing time and would love to make it back in the near future.

Grand Outlook Castle is an amazing property. It really is as beautiful if not better as the pictures on the website. It was a fantastically easy and pleasant experience renting the villa and finalizing our vacation plans. The owner Paul, whom I did not know in person, was extremely accomodting of my many question phone calls and emails. He volunteered to be our "island concierge" and help arrange restaurants, activities, beach umbrellas - and his taste and suggestions were amazing and flawless EVERY TIME. He addressed every question and concern we had (Paul even purchased a special safety swim bracelet for my toddler to wear around the infinity pool). The villa is gorgeous! The view is breathtaking. All rooms are large, each with those unforgetable views; the living areas and the bedrooms are beautifully decorated. The Anguilla beaches are serene, the local people are wonderful and welcoming, restaurants are excellent - no beyond excellent (check out Barrel Stay, Veya, Smokeys, and Koal Keel). And of course the lobster on Scily Key! If you are looking for a beautiful villa, white sand beaches, laid back environment (and no cruise ships in sight!!!), this is the place. We have taken a lot of family vacations around the world, and found a handful of places we liked so much that we like to visit again (without changing a thing). Grand Outlook Castle on Anguilla is one of those places.. We are already thinking about our next visit.

My husband & I spent our honeymoon at Grand Outlook and could not have been more satisfied. The castle is absolutely stunning! The views were amazing, the accomodations were top notch. The owners payed attention to every detail when building the house. The outdoor showers were really great, the infinity pool was amazing, and the kitchen actually made me want to cook (and I do not cook! haha!)! We enjoyed a different sunset every evening, cooked, swam, and relaxed. We really hated to leave and return back to reality. We hope to return to Grand Outlook and celebrate a wedding anniversary! Thank you Paul and Elise for a most memorable honeymoon!

Dear Paul & Elise,

Your castle is absolutely magnificent. We are having such a wonderful time... food, beaches, the pool. Everything is what we had hoped for and much more.

Tonight it is chicken from Proctor's grilling outside by the infinity pool with the sun just setting, the boys playing in the pool and our Katie just "hanging" drinking a Caribe! The pastries from Koal Keel, just down the hill from here, are to die for. Dinner there the night before was delicious. Tomorrow it is off to Prickley Pear and then back for dinner at Oliver's.Today we went to Elodia's and just hung out sunning, reading, bathing and snorkling. So simple but so much FUN!

Quick Question - we love your bathroom vanities and wondered where you bought them or were they made specifically for the castle?

Thanks again for your sincere help through my neurotic transition to vacation mode. You made it an easy, comfortable and pleasant move from the day to day mundane to paradise.
