Three of us stayed at this apartment for a week in June, 2013.
The apartment is about a 2-minute walk to the subway. Next to the subway is a drugstore that has an OK selection of food and is open until 10 pm. There is also a large grocery store a block down the street that is open until 8 pm.
The owner, Cheryl, was very helpful and friendly during our stay. Just as important, she was easy to communicate with by email beforehand. Master bedroom is as lovely as pictured and the bed is very comfortable. Kitchen probably has anything you need to cook with. The living room is comfortable and stocked with useful tourist information.
If I could put 4.5 stars instead of 5, I would take away 1/2 star for the bed in the small bedroom. It is probably fine for a child or a skinny young person. I had the luxurious master bedroom the first 5 nights and then when our third person arrived for the last two nights, moved to the small bedroom. I couldn't sleep in that bed and eventually moved (at 4 am) to the very comfortable living room couch. The next morning, the person who had been in the small bedroom the first 5 nights (and he's a lot younger than I am) admitted that he had had trouble with that bed, too. (I had a great night's sleep the seventh night in the living room.)
However, I'm not willing to call the apartment 4 starts instead of 5 just for that bed. Everything else about it is excellent.
For anyone who wants to use the subways to tromp around NYC all day, I heartily recommend this apartment.
