What a great place to take the family!!! My kids are still talking about this home 4 months after the vacation. Lana was a great host and the home was even better than we expected. I have 4 boys under 5 years old and they could run around all they wanted from sun up to sun down with no worries (great back yard). My family will return.

Superior location, excellent customer service

Dear Sir/Madam: We found everything to be 100% top-notch from location, layout of home and beautiful furniture. Everything worked properly and exceptional customer service. E.g., with four little children, the fenced-in yard was ideal for safety. The recommendations for renting car seats and gates for stairs made our vacation perfect. The area provides, nearby, a boardwalk with excellent restaurants, shops, activities and stroller accessible for ease in walking about. We would recommend this property to all and, we would hope to visit again in future years. The extra amenity of separate one bedroom apartment was above and beyond expectations. The welcome kit p;rovided was most helpful with maps to Busch Gardens, Tarpon Springs Sponge Boat Trip, and nearby wonderful restaurants. In addition, the beautiful grill gave us cookouts and use of the lovely Tiki Bar to watch sunsets. An outstanding property for vacation with tremendous customer service. Sincerely yours, Francine

Perfect house for a perfect vacation!

Review Submitted: May 21, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
The best backyard on the beach! It's an absolute paradise. Plenty of palm trees to give you shade in the heat of the day so you can still enjoy the sights and sounds of the ocean. The tiki bar was so much fun! The sand on the beach was pure white. The beach is nice and quite with few people.
10 friends from all around the U.S. gathered here for a week of fun. There was plenty of room for all of us in the house and we never felt like we were in each others way.
Great bars not far away on Treasure Island and St. Pete beach. A lot of them offer live bands.
We went deep sea fishing, (I caught a 50" King fish) Visted Bush Gardens, rented scooters and jet skis.
By far one of the best vacations I have been on.

I can't wait until I can come back and stay here again! Lana was so helpful and was quick to answer any questions I had.
Thank you Lana! I've made a friend for life!

Phyllis

We had a great time at this wonderful beach front house. The best part is the back yard. Beautifully landscaped. Completly fenced in so the children have boundries. The tiki bar was great, seats everyone. Going to sleep with the sound of the surf is heaven. Loved it.

The best vacation I've had in years

Tallahassee Traveler Tallahassee, FL
Review Submitted: February 9, 2009 Date of Stay: December 2008
The pictures do not do it justice. This place is gorgeous, well-maintained, attractively decorated but still comfortable, convenient to restaurants/ groceries/ shopping, and full of little "extras" to make the stay even more pleasant. The outdoor patio area is the nicest I've ever experienced, and this from someone who grew up in Florida and has vacationed at beaches all over the state. Spend an afternoon basking in one of the two hammocks or the house's beach cabana, and let your cares melt away! We saw dolphins, and there were gorgeous sunsets behind the tiki bar each night. The beach is uncrowded, as there are no condos nearby, and there were many interesting shells on the beach. The "cottage" is bigger than it looks in the photo, and was perfect for our 3-month old son to get away from the group at the main house when he needed to nap. Lana even had some special welcome items for the baby and supplied a crib. The kitchen is well-equipped for any kind of cooking. In all, this was the most pleasant beach experience I've ever had.

Excellent Family Vacation Rental!

Kim L Dansville, NY
Review Submitted: August 4, 2008 Date of Stay: March 2008
This vacation was wonderful from beginning to end. Lana was a wealth of knowledge and went above and beyond. My daughter has severe food allergies, so Lana MapQuested local natural food stores and routes to the 3 nearest hospitals! She even had a care package and framed photo of my daughter at the house upon our arrival! She personally showed us through the house and she and John were both available to us 24/7 if needed. The house is perfectly set up for family vacations or multi-family - with 2 bedrooms and 1 bath up, 1 bed and 1 bath down and a guest apartment with full bath/kitchen AND laundry facilities - it had ALL the conveniences of home! Even the neighbors were wonderful! A breathtaking view of the Gulf during the day and beautifully lit landscaping at night! The tiki bar is very convenient and the entire property is well taken care of! The property is located just far enough away from crowds, but completely accessible within minutes by car or a romantic walk on the beach! I would completely recommend this property to friends and can't wait to go back next season! Being unable to eat out, I really appreciated the fully furnished kitchen with all the amenities of home! The beachside of the home is perfect for small children - you can either open the gate to the gulf or leave it closed to keep the kids in! Beautiful pavers and sandy beach enclosed for kids to enjoy! Lots of outdoor furniture (grill, chimenea, etc.) are available to enjoy as well! Absolutely loved the vacation! Thanks SO much!!

Paradise has an address.....

Review Submitted: July 23, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2007
Even if you live in the Tampa Bay Area, this was a refuge in and of itself. We were visiting from Seattle and just the arrival on property seemed to melt away stress of everyday living. I couldn't imagine being so close to the city and having this kind of home on the beach available to us for as short time as a week! Most homes like this are monthly only! The ability to walk out to our own Beach Bar Kiosk and be in the beautiful gulf waters steps away was like a dream. It made us wish we'd not even gone to Disney World in Orlando the week prior with our children! Sitting outside or preparing a fantastic seafood meal (or hire a chef as we've done before!) is like a scene out of Earnest Hemingway's biography. By the way, the decor is very Hemingway and Key West inspired. We never wanted to leave! We will be back this winter and can't wait to spend 2 weeks this time!!!! The owner, Lana is a perfectionist, which we love, since it's the same way we would treat our own home....you cannot go wrong with this home....It fulfilled our every desire in a vacation home and more! Great Family Vacation

JMM Hendersonville, N.C.
Review Submitted: July 13, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008
Lana and John were extremely helpful since we were new to the area and needed info on good restaurants, shopping and close-by interesting activities. Our family group ranged in age from 4 to 67 and the house was perfect. The back-yard alone is worth the price! We were approximately ten paces from the back gate to the waters of the gulf which allowed us to be in the back area and still keep a close eye on the youngsters playing in the sand. There were plenty of shaded areas in the back and the tiki hut with it's own sink, refrig and ice maker got a lot of use for breakfast and lunch not to mention storage for drinks which cut down on traffic from the beach to inside.
The highlight of our vacation was having the family observe a loggerhead turtle laying her eggs a couple of houses away and then seeing her cover them and return to the water-something the children (and adults) will never forget. There was plenty of dolphin activity near the swimming area as well. We loved our trip, the house was immaculate, the layout and decor of the house wonderful and the owners could not have been more welcoming.
When you go don't forget a trip to the rescue aquarium in Clearwater to see the dolphins perform.
JMM

Our stay could not have been better. The place is beautiful, clean and well maintained. The owner was very helpful . The place is exactly as it is described and more. I think the grounds is the prettiest on the beach. We were a family of 8 and had plenty of room . My husband and I stayed in the apartment and it was like being our own vacation except having the family near by. We would gladly recomend this property, and hope to go again.

Best property on the beach!

Haley Columbia, SC
Review Submitted: February 13, 2008 Date of Stay: November 2007
My family and I stayed at the house in November. It was absolutely beautiful!. Lana has done such an incredible job with all the decor from the furniture all the way down to the dishes. The tiki hut on the patio really sets the theme for the property!! Such a great place to relax, lay at the beach and have a cookout on the patio. If you are renting a beach house in the Tampa Bay area......this is the only one to rent!
