Great location in Huron's Old Plat neighborhood. Beach, parks, Huron Boat Basin and docks, fishing pier, Huron Summer Playhouse, restaurants, churches, library and Pied Piper ice cream all within short walking distance. Thunderbird Hills and Sawmill Creek golf course are both 2 miles away. Cedar Point, shopping malls, and waterparks are only 10 minutes away by car, but there is plenty to do without getting into your car. Boat Basin events include outdoor movies by the river, live bands, festivals, farmers market and fireworks.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Very nice neighborhood with walking distance to a clean little beach. Extremely clean cottage with very pleasant owners. Quiet home created an atmosphere for our family to bond and create more memories. Good location to drive to an array of activities. We hope to come back for years to come and bring more family members next time.

Wonderful Huron Cottage
We really enjoyed our visit. Steve & Beth are very gracious hosts. The setting is very lovely with nice access to all of Huron's amenities. Very family friendly. Lovely vintage Huron home. Clean and well cared for site.

Labor Day week 2010
We had such a wonderful time in Huron at this very clean and cute home. Beth and her husband were outstanding neighbors. They even let us use their lawn furniture for a family gathering we had in the back yard. It was perfect for all our needs. Make sure you walk down to the lake and watch a sunset. I highly reccommend this home away from home. The Podomniks

Exceeded our expectations
If you like well kept old fashioned homes with high ceilings, crown moldings and claw foot tubs - this is the vacation house for you. The beds are very comfortable and it was nice to have the windows open at night with the curtains blowing in the breeze. The neighborhood is well established and very quiet. The house is only two blocks from the lake. Huron is a fun place to stay even if you want to explore the whole area including Sandusky and Port Clinton. The folks that rent this charming house live right next door - it was nice to be their neighbor during our stay.

Family Friendly Cottage
We had a wonderful time in this comfortable, family friendly cottage. The beds were very comfortable with nice sheets and towels! The cottage is simply, but comfortably furnished.
It is close walking distance to a wonderful lake front park for the little ones and 2 beaches. And it is a bit longer (but not too far) walking distance to a yumnmy ice cream shop, a pier and lighthouse good for fishing, a beautiful marina, a donut shop, a public library with internet service, a grocery store and laundrymat.
The owners were friendly and helpful. And we found the people in general to be very friendly in the town. We stayed the whole week with hardly leaving the town - but it is close to many other attractions like Cedar Point. And shopping like Wal-mart and Meijer is only about 10 minutes away.
Nice and relaxing with beautiful views from the lakefront park a great place to unwind!

Wonderful place to stay!
Family of 4 stayed here for a week in July 2008 and had a very enjoyable time. House is comfortable & clean, located in a nice neighborhood and within 20-mile radius to an endless number of fun attractions! All the bedrooms are spacious (2 bedrooms upstairs with large sitting area) - comfortable beds/pillows & nice linens. Lots of windows throughout house - bright & breezy. Softest carpet I have ever walked on! Kitchen has all the dishes, pans & utensils you could ever need. Can easily & quickly walk to 2 beaches. Very relaxing and fun!
