We found this condo to be very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked,right down to a hugh gumbo pot! The beds are very comfortable. The elevator works great too, never over a three minute wait for it going up or coming down. Everyone we met from the condo was very friendly. I cant wait to spend another week here next year.

The perfect place to stay!

This is the best place in the world to stay, it is like a week in paradise! The condo is spotless, has everything there at your finger tips, I can't imagine staying any where else. We have gone for years and now are lucky enough to get to go twice a year and am hoping to make it 3 times a year soon!! I would not go to Gulf Shores if I could not stay in Terry's condo because it would not be able to meet the standards that we have gotten so used to. Terry always checks to make sure everything is in order and that we have arrived safely,, not only are you in paridise you have a owner that truly cares. I would tell anyone thinking of going to Gulf Shores to stay in this condo, if you can't get it I would wait until it was available before I planned my trip because it truly is worth waiting for any place else is just going to be a room this is truly PARADISE!

This was an excellent rental experience, beginning with initial contact with owner, Dr. Terry, through departure. Dr. Terry provides a lot of detailed information regarding the rental and payment procedures.
The unit is nicely furnished and stocked with kitchen supplies and extras like salt & pepper and coffee filters etc., so you don't feel like you are setting up housekeeping just to go on vacation! Big plus in my opinion.
The unit is also comfortable for your "home" time, off the beach or whatever.
My husband and I shared the condo with my daughter and her family, fiance and two kids, and there was plenty of space and privacy.
I recommend this condo for two couples or two small families.

Perfect Getaway Locale for our Family

We had decided a trip to the Gulf was the perfect way to spend Spring Break 2013. Just where to go was the hard part. We decided to return to Gulf Shores for the first time in 23 years. We found this unit on homeaway.com and were thrilled it was available. The owner, Dr. Terry, was very easy to work with and very helpful. She provided great information about the unit and the area as a whole as we prepared for the trip.
Six of us, all basically adults, stayed in the unit for the week and we had plenty of space. We cooked several meals in the well stocked kitchen, we enjoyed mornings on the patio overlooking the gulf. We even were treated to a school of dolphins playing in the waters off the coast of Tropical Winds one morning. We have stayed in a number of rental units and by far this was the best appointed. It certainly was closer to "home" than any other unit we have stayed at in our travels.
We highly recommend renting from Dr. Terry. Her and her unit are easy to work with and a great value.

My wife and I have been vacationing in Gulf Shores for approx. 20 years. Ten years ago we rented Dr. Terry's condo at Tropical Winds and we have been returning ever year since.
This condo is like being at home; except you are on a beautiful beach. Dr. Terry has the condo decorated beautifully and we always find new and updated furniture, flat screen TVs, kitchen appliances, sheets and towels each year. Dr. Terry pays special attention to this property and it is obvious from the moment you step inside. The property is very clean and contains two master bedrooms with private baths and a third bedroom with a bath just steps away down the hallway.
The property is in a low rise building with an elevator and exercise room. There is also a beach side pool and charcoal grills for your use. The property is quite so when you are ready for sleep you can drift off listening to the waves crashing on the shore.
We love sipping our morning coffee on the patio and watching the dolphins play in the surf in front of the condo. We generally head out to the beech for swimming in the beautiful waters of Gulf Shore. The beach is only steps away and Dr. Terry has provided beach chairs for your use, too!
The AC in the unit will keep you nice and cool and there are lots of movies, books, and games provided for your entertainment.
After we found this condo, we have never looked for another place to stay. There are newer highrise condo's in Gulf Shores but you will not find a better location and unit in the area. We highly recommend this property.

This is a wonderful unit to stay in with family! Dr. Terry has furnished it very tastefully and comfortable with all of the comforts of home! There were games, movies and two cases of books for summer reading! She generously stocks her supply closet with almost anything that you could possibly need - high chair, crib, beach chairs, floats, etc. Dr. Terry is very easy to work with and is available during your stay if problems arise. Her goal is for your family to enjoy her condo! The complex is in a great location on West Beach and is very well taken care of. We highly recommend that you consider trying S&S Seafood for an in-room dining experience - just a couple of blocks away, call ahead and order your seafood the way that you want it, go pick it up and get ready to eat! We also make it a point to dine at The Oyster House and DeSoto's. Also recommend West Beach Grill - the wings are fabulous! This was our 18th year to visit Gulf Shores during July and our first trip to Tropical Winds - we'll be back - it's our new vacation home!

Very Nice Family Vacation

First let me say that the owner's communication is top notch! She is very clear in her descriptions and very responsive to questions. The condo was exactly as described. We had a total of 4 adults and 3 small children, and we had more than enough space. The location of the condo is outstanding...right on the beach with everything you need within reasonable distance. Beds were comfortable, appliances worked properly, and the property itself is nice. The owner also has lots of beach chairs and beach toys in the condo so that you don't have to bring yours from home. Wasn't thrilled about the pre-6:00am "wakeup call" from the garbage truck two of the mornings we were there, but that is completely out of the owner's control and is probably the same at most properties in the area.
Bottom line, this is a very nice place to stay, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Will definitely look to book it again next time we vacation at Gulf Shores.

Our marvelous getaway

This condo is everything it's promised to be! The property is very clean, inside and out. The kitchen is fully stocked which made it so easy to feel at home and not feel like you had to spend a fortune eating out every night. And there is room for everyone...even our 10 year old and 8 year old felt like they had space and didn't spend the week pestering one another! Planning with Dr Terry has been fabulous. She is always available for questions and recommendations (even when I wanted a pedicure while we were there!) Travelling with an 18mo old can be overwhelming, what with all of the "stuff" you have to drag along, but with everything already provided at the condo, we had lots of extra room in the car! And if you don't have a child so small traveling with you, don't worry b/c the baby stuff is tucked completely out of the way. The location is fabulous....can't get any closer to the beach. While the indoor dining area is more than sufficient, we took most of our meals on the over-sized balcony and got to watch the dolphins play in the surf on more than one occasion! It has taken us a bit to get used to going to sleep without the sounds of the waves. I have already recommended Dr Terry to quite a few friends, can't say enough wonderful things about our experience with her. Our first stay will absolutely be the first of many!
As a side note, my youngest just hopped in my lap and is pointing to the picture of the balcony and the gulf on my computer screen and said, "Look, Mama! There's my water!" which is what he said every time we went outside during our stay. And he pointed to the chairs around the table and named each person in our family by the chair we sat in when we dined. :) Apparently our trip made an impression on everyone in the family! If that's not enough of a recommendation, I don't know what is!

There is No Place Like Home...Except This Home

The owner of this condo Dr. Terry, is excellent with communication. Every text or phone call was followed up in a timely manner!
Before and during our rental I had a lot of questions. Her attention to every question was explained in detail!
After spending the summers in Gulf Shores during my childhood back in the 70s at my parents summer cottage on Ft. Morgan Rd, this condo made me feel like I was home again. The size of this complex was nice. Not too big not too small. Beach access, parking, cleanliness of the property and this unit was spotless! The kitchen had everything, and I mean everything you could possibly need! Every small appliance you could ever need. The bedding was above the norm that you find in most rentals. There are very comfortable mattresses in all the bedrooms. All the furnishings thru-out are in excellent condition and best quality. The unit was exceptionally clean, bath towels plush, beach views were exceptional!
Our next visit to Gulf Shores, this WILL be our Home away from Home. Before I close I have to make one additional comment. A favorite bed pillow was left behind after our vacation by one of our family members. A phone call was made to Dr. Terry to see if by chance it could be returned. Terry was able to locate the pillow and ship it to us. This spoke volumes to me of her personal character. Thank you so much for the most enjoyable stay!!! Sincerely, Michael T.

Home away from Home!

We just returned from our first Gulf Shores vacation, and I have to say that the experience was incredible. The beaches are gorgeous and this condo felt like a true home away from home. It was super spacious, ALLfurnishings were very comfortable, and the decor was incredibly nice. We were able to make ourselves comfortable as soon as we walked in the door! I've stayed in several condos in several different locations over the years and this was by far the nicest one! Whether we were preparing dinner for everyone, curling up and watching movies at night, or hanging out on the large balacony having a few drinks and listening to the tide come in...the openess of the condo always lent a sense of togetherness. To top that off, the views from the living room, balcony, and master bedroom were phenomenal. In addition, I have to say that this was the first condo that I have been in where absolutely everything we needed was at our fingertips! We wanted for nothing. Another perk...for the few items we forgot to bring from home...there was grocery store approximately 1 block away that had everything. It doesn't get much more convenient than that. Thanks Dr. Terry for a great experience. We loved your place and look forward to returning again in the future.
