Our Winter Stay

Home for the winter Dubois, Wyoming USA
Review Submitted: April 4, 2009 Date of Stay: January 2009
We spent much of the winter here at the Stagestop. It was excellent! I can not express how great it was. The log home is beautiful, roomy and very welcoming. We had several guests who would agree that it is fun, comfortable and very amazing. The views are wonderful all day long and every day. The "hosts" are great people who made us feel laid back and relaxed. The house has everything you need and more, and we can not wait to go back. It is way better than we could have imagined. Great escape. Thank you so much.
Owner's Response: These visitors own the KOA Camp Ground in Dubois, Wyoming and we really appreciated their feedback because they are in the business themselves. It is very fulfilling know our guests were comfortable and we strive to make everyone’s visit wonderful.

CONSISTENTLY THE BEST !

We stayed at the Stagecoach in October of 2009 for 10 days...this is our third time staying. While you would think you might tire of a place the answer is NOT HERE!

The home is consistently maintained, always pristinely clean, and beautiful. This time we were four in our party. Myself and spouse, mom and grandma. With all the bedrooms and baths everyone had their own space for relaxing. The living room is extremely spacious and is great for coming together for family time.

All the amenities you need are here. We so enjoyed the hot tub and sauna shower. Convinced mom to hit the soaking jetted tub...her new favorite, she wants one for home. The hosts, Toni and George are starting to become family, they really embody hospitality. They assisted in receiving and having oxygen picked up for Grandma (thanks so much !!). The surroundings are beautiful. My grandma loved watching the horses and she loved the house so much. This was the fist vacation for her in many years and she talks alot about it and what a great time she had.

In summary, if you are looking for a place where you can get away, relax, and have amenities galore, Stagecoach HAS IT ALL!

Perfect Vacation!

We just got back from our stay at the Stagecoach and can't believe we didn't stay longer! The home had everything we needed & more! The sunset/sunrises and views were fantastic! We had 3 kids in the house and each loved looking out at the horses each day - What a treat! The house is close enough to everything so it wasn't a long drive to get to any of the touristy places. What a great place! We will definatly be back!! Thanks again!

Family Roundup

Review Submitted: July 28, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
A log home with a Stage Coach Stop address has the image of a rustic, primitive dwelling. We city folks found it to be quite the opposite! Our diverse family of nine with ages ranging from 11 to 84 were totally captivated with the luxurious amenities, panoramic views, interior decor, and the completely relaxing ambiance.

Over the years I have rented many houses for our family vacations, but we all agree that this was our favorite. Part of the special charm of the week was having our gracious hosts, Toni and George, around for suggestions, conversation, and yes, a heating pad!

I would be remiss if I did not include Monty, the lovable Golden Retriever, as a serious contributor to everyone's joy!

Thanks again and aloha!

The Perfect Getaway

Nebaska Guy Bellevue, NE
Review Submitted: November 3, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
We just finished our stay here. My wife and I agree that it was hard to leave. The home is very comfortable and the surrounding property is incredibly relaxing. The kids loved the place so much we had to drag them to see the sights.

We also had another family stay with us. We had 4 adults, 3 kids, and 2 dogs and everyone had their space.

My family stayed at the Stagecoach Stop Ranch as
part of a very important time in our lives. My
mother died just over a year ago, and she had
wanted to take the whole family on a trip to visit
the area where my dad had served in the CCC
camps (nearby, now the site of the Black Hills
Theater) in 1940. Mom wasn't able to make
the trip with us, but Dad was ready this summer. So
my sisters and I, two of our husbands, two
teenagers, and a border collie made the trek with
Dad to a place we had visited many years ago as
children and that meant very much to him. A lot of
sentiment was riding on this trip,
and the property, plus the wonderful owners Toni
and George, made it perfect. They have thought of
pretty much everything. As other reviewers attest,
there are lots of spaces for being apart (decks for
reading as the sun rises, three bedrooms, lovely
baths) as well as places to be together (large living
room with huge TV for watching a movie, deck
grilling area, outdoor spa, kitchen for cooking
together, good eating space). The vistas are
spectacularly beautiful and tranquil,
and Toni and George are impeccable owner hosts.
We could not have asked for a better experience.
We recommend it with great enthusiasm.

"Perfect Restful Getaway"

"Wonderful family getaway. Plenty of room for all (10 in our group) to do things together or find a corner to read or do your own thing. We are a loud group when we are together, but it was not hard to find a quiet spot. Kids loved the big screen TV, air hockey table, hot tub, and the property where they were able to play and run around. The house was very clean and well-maintained, the pictures and description were accurate, this is one place I would have no problem recommending to friends or going back to. The kitchen area was great for our cook (the sister who loves to cook) there was plenty of room for all of us to sit and eat, and during the evening the table was a great place to play games. One mother, three daughters, four kids and one husband all agreed that this was a great place to stay. It was not far to any of the tourists sites in the Mount Rushmore area. Hot Springs has a wonderful little bookstore for any reader. And for those who like physical exercise, but not everyone in your group is in the same physical shape the Mickelson Trail is great for hiking or biking, one of the trail heads was about 10 miles from the house. We drove north of Custer about 3 miles and hiked south to Custer a little more protection for some in our group. So if you are looking for a great location to stay that is clean, quiet, safe, peaceful and just a great place for a family to get together and spend quality time I would recommend this house and location.
