My family stayed at the Stagecoach Stop Ranch as
part of a very important time in our lives. My
mother died just over a year ago, and she had
wanted to take the whole family on a trip to visit
the area where my dad had served in the CCC
camps (nearby, now the site of the Black Hills
Theater) in 1940. Mom wasn't able to make
the trip with us, but Dad was ready this summer. So
my sisters and I, two of our husbands, two
teenagers, and a border collie made the trek with
Dad to a place we had visited many years ago as
children and that meant very much to him. A lot of
sentiment was riding on this trip,
and the property, plus the wonderful owners Toni
and George, made it perfect. They have thought of
pretty much everything. As other reviewers attest,
there are lots of spaces for being apart (decks for
reading as the sun rises, three bedrooms, lovely
baths) as well as places to be together (large living
room with huge TV for watching a movie, deck
grilling area, outdoor spa, kitchen for cooking
together, good eating space). The vistas are
spectacularly beautiful and tranquil,
and Toni and George are impeccable owner hosts.
We could not have asked for a better experience.
We recommend it with great enthusiasm.
