Vacationer's Dream

My family and two friends rented the Bear Cabin. From the moment we walked in we were relaxed. It is in a wooded setting and the home is a beautiful and perfectly clean cedar cabin. The beds were comfotable and the kitchen has all of the conveniences of home. We loved the community pool and both Oval Beach in Saugatuck and the beach in South Haven. Great shopping, great restaurants nearby. We went to Holland one night and rode go-carts and bumper boats and played video games.

Peaceful retreat, perfect vacation

Saugatuck St. Louis Missouri
Review Submitted: October 11, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
This property lived up to the internet photos and more! The cabin was clean, comfortable and had all the essentials of home. The full kitchen and a gas grill out back made "eating in" a snap. A laundry room off the kitchen was a real bonus. The area was peaceful, quiet, and close to town. The cabin is within a quarter mile of Highway 31 and about a mile from town. The owner even contacted us during or stay to make sure everything was to our expectations. In addition the owner had provided detail information regarding local events, restaurants, and shops. I would recommend this Cabin to anyone looking for a chance to get away for the everyday hassels of life. Our vacation was very relaxing, truely a real vacation. ation.

Spent 5 nights with 3 children and myself. Great location, wonderful amenities, beautiful cabin. Local activities included a Dune Buggy ride, Harborduck tour, bowling, boating, swimming, all outdoor activities. Great time was had by all. Lifelong memories. Highly recommended for those who want to escape from the daily grind and spend quality time with loved ones and friends. Arrangements through the owner were extremely easy. Hope to visit again next year.

This was our familys second time at the cabin. We just loved it. The cabin was very clean and the layout was wonderful. The rooms were generous in size, we had plenty of closet space to store our belongings so we could be comfortable. The location is great, just off the highway and only a few minutes to downtown Saugatuck. Our stay was fantastic and would definitely recommend this property.

We really enjoyed our time in the Moose cabin. The rental process along with check-in and check-out were exceptionally easy and smooth. The cabin itself is immaculate and had everything we needed to make us feel right at home. The location also made is quite easy to get in and out of downtown Saugatuck and to other sites in the area. We would highly recommend!

Wonderful Retreat!

We rented Moose's Cabin for the New Year and had a great and relaxing vacation!! This cabin is beautiful and has everything you need. There were 3 couples in our group and there was plenty of space and it was very comfortable! We always had a fire going and were able to grill out and make big dinners every night. Even in the winter, it was warm enough to sit in the screened in back porch on the nice chairs and enjoy morning coffee. We found this cabin to be extremely clean and I can't say enough about how comfortable the beds were! This cabin is also set further back from the other properties, so it makes it feel more remote. It is also a very short drive to downtown Saugatuck so there is plenty to do, even in the winter! I can't wait to go back and would recommend this place for anyone trying to get away for a quiet/relaxing trip.

Our family of 6 had an absolutely wonderful time at the cabin...we loved the layout: the Master BR upstairs and the kids rooms downstairs, plus the beautiful screened-in porch. Everything was super-clean, well taken care of and simply charming and relaxing. We would definitely recommend this place and hope to come back!

As they say a picture is worth a thousands words. This place is picture PERFECT! We had a girls getaway and all we can say is WOW! We have stayed at many places and this one ranks as the BEST! The attention to detail and comforts are far above the norm. We had a fantastic time. The decor, the furniture, the kitchen...the owners obviously have great taste and did not skimp on anything when they put this home together. All the comforts of home. What a treat and what a relaxing get away. It is nice to finally find a place that is enjoyable and clean and beautiful from top to bottom. We will definately be back, we are already planning something for the Fall and the Spring, it is so pretty we want to experience all the seasons! All my girlfriends are in agreement. The price is right and the place is PERFECT! Thumbs up to the owners for giving us our moneys worth. If you are looking to stay in this area, this is the place. You can even ride your bike into town, it is just so charming!

Country Comfort

Tom & Wendy Mokena, IL
Review Submitted: July 15, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
Comfort, comfort, comfort is the best way to describe the Moose Lodge. Cabins we had rented in the past seemed to be furnished with used furniture and appliances and their cleanliness left much to be desired. But not the Moose Lodge! When we arrived on Saturday, we found the cabin in great shape. The place was immaculately clean and the furnishings were top shelf. The Moose Lodge is a real country charmer. Its rustic knotty pine décor gave us a feeling of warmth and comfort. The furniture and beds were so comfortable you didn’t want to get up. The kitchen was fully stocked with matching dinnerware so we could (and did!!) have a nice candlelit dinner. The Weber Genesis grill was like new and worked perfectly. The master suite is upstairs and has a king size bed, walk-in closet, and master bath suite. There is a loft sitting area just outside the master suite with a couch, easy chair and flat screen TV. There are two bedrooms downstairs. Each has a queen size bed. The furnished linens, towels, etc. are high quality. No need to bring your own pillows. The pillows furnished are quite soft and comfortable and there are more than enough so everyone can have two. The living room has a beautiful stone fireplace (we didn’t use) and a flat screen TV with a built in DVD. Both TV’s have cable service and quite a selection of channels. We enjoyed our evenings on the screened-in back porch. The wicker furniture was comfortable and clean. We brought a box fan to create a nice breeze and plugged in our iPod speakers. It was a perfect place to look out at the woods, have a cocktail and relax. The swimming pool just down the street was clean and the water was warm. There were plenty of chairs and recliners and room – no crowds. We fished off the dock and caught and released blue gill and bass. Wish we had brought some floats so we could have jumped in. We also rode dune buggies and scooters, paddled kayaks in town, saw a local concert, and visited Holland, Douglas, and South Haven. Make sure you have some Sherman’s ice cream – it’s the best!! The Moose Lodge is a very nice place to stay! Thanks Dawn (and Paige) for a wonderful week!!
