Our Favourite Place to Stay

What a pleasure to arrive here and find this little hideaway exactly as promised—neat, fully equipped, in a beautiful property, and a very short walk to the beach. The actual street you're on makes for quiet sleeps, but you'll find yourself with only a 3 minute walk to a nice section of the beach, and an additional short walk to Kapiolani Park, the Aquarium, the Zoo, or the other direction to all the shopping restaurants, etc… You can be very lazy and quiet, or really busy and buzzing. Great location.

The room itself is clean and nicely decorated with good linens and towels and has great options for relaxing, cooking, eating inside or out, watching TV or movies, and sleeping. We were there with our 5 and 7 year old and they had good sleeps and plenty to do.

The owners are also really nice to deal with, good honest communications and transaction.

Stack all that up, think about your location (it's Waikiki people!), then look at the price. Amazing.

I vacation in Waikiki often and have stayed in many of the condo and hotel complexes. I really enjoyed this condo. The view is great, the unit is clean and nicely furnished. Most of the Banyan units are not situated to take advantage of the ocean views, but this one is. The corner location has a direct shot over the church and to the ocean. Corner units also have more windows and better cross ventilation. During hot days, the A/C worked great (not always the case with the Waikiki condos!). The floor plan is open which I liked... however, the bedroom can be closed off with sliding doors if you need more privacy. The owners use a local property manager who was very responsive. (Again, not always the case with other vacation condos). The cafes at pool side and in the lobby have good basic food! Very Nice Stay! Thanks!

We enjoyed our stay at your condo so much the first week in September. For two sets of mother-daughters celebrating their recent graduations from high school it was a perfect gift!

The girls had so much fun playing in the surf and we felt safe at the Banyan even on nights when we'd arrive back a little on the late side.

There is so much to do and having a nice, clean, well equipped 'home' to come home to was a treat. Thank you for letting us use all of the beach items which saved us a lot of money. Having all of the mirrors around the condo helped make it so much easier for all of the primping we women do!

We thank you for having it clean and stocked for us. The pictures on your site respresent the condo perfectly. Hope to come back soon. Thank you for being so flexible and helpful in all of the planning.

To my surprise, Lisa's condo had more than enough room for myself and 4 other girlfriends during our vacation in O'ahu! Her place looks exactly as it does in the pictures and is extremely clean and well taken care of. The location was perfect! It wasn't too far from the beach, restaurants, shopping, International Marketplace, Diamond Head, Honolulu zoo, church...you name it. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals. (There is a sundry store downstairs which was a huge convenience if you needed to buy milk, eggs, sugar, coffee, etc. No need to drive to a grocery store.) My girlfriends and I also took advantage of the beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards. We enjoyed these extras very much! The free parking pass was nice to have because parking in Waikiki can be a nightmare and hotels in the area charge a daily parking fee. What more can I say? Great location, free parking, free internet, free phone calls, clean/fully stocked condo with plenty of space...all for a great price!!! Lisa was so nice to work with and helped accomodate us. I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit O'ahu. I highly recommend staying here during your next vacation!

We truly enjoyed our stay at your condo in Waikiki. We love the extra space and the extras that were provided, which was perfect for our family of five...we could all sleep comfortably. We definitely took advantage of your beach chairs and the kids enjoyed using the boogie boards.The kitchen was nice to prepare meals on the go as we packed to explore the Island. Everything was provided; pots, pans, bowls, & utensils. This is so much better than staying in a hotel. It is so nice to have the extra room to relax and not feel so cramped. On one of the evenings, we even used the grill on the 6th floor recreation area which was a nice extra we were not planning to do. The views of the ocean from the big bedroom and living room windows can't be beat. It was nice to eat breakfast each morning and watch the surfers already out on the waves at 7:00am. Since this was located right in Waikiki, we took walks in the evenings with the kids to do some shopping or just wind down after spending the day at the beach or a trip to the other parts of the Island.

Favorite activies: Snorkeling at Hanauma bay, Dole Plantation(do the maze), Relaxing at the beach(Kailua,Turtle Bay), Hiking to Manoa Falls, Hiking Diamond Head, Swap Meet, China Town, DolphinQuest, Surfing with the kids on Waikiki, Malasada's at Leonards, Shaved ice on the North Shore...so many more great experiences that we'll all remember.

Our family had a great vacation and enjoyed our stay in this condo. A definite recommendation.

This unit was fantastic everthing you could want from boogy boards, beach buckets, beach towels, videos, DVD's and much more to the cupboards being stocked with everything you would need to cook up a treat.

The view was great, we could see the ocean and also down to the pool and BBQ area which was great, we sat on the Lani had a cocktail and watch the sun go down as everyone was walking around. The unit had everything you could want and more in it and Lisa answered every question I asked and also gave me some great tips.

I can highly recommend this Unit to anyone who wants a home away from home in downtown Waikiki. I have stayed in Hawaii 13 times and at many different places. I will diffently go back and stay here

Our holiday at the Banyan was great. Talk about value. The buildings/garage/elevator/common areas had a very high level of finish, all nicely maintained. I personally loved the coffee shop downstairs. The 6th floor pool deck was amazing, but we hardly used it since Waikiki was so nice, and so close. We had the supplied chairs and sand toys, and with the beach so close, we were just down there all the time.

We took off for Lanikai and Waimea Bay a couple days, but the rest of the time we didn't really need our car—it was so easy to walk to the Aquarium, different sections of Waikiki, or even all the way to the Hilton Hawaiian Village for fireworks on Friday. Our schedule was by no means grueling, but the room was still really great to get back to at the end of the day. It was just as advertised… clean, well supplied, stocked with everything we needed to really relax and do our cooking. We loved the sliding dividers. we could put the kids to bed at night and still stay up to watch a movie. The view was also better than we expected—your Web shots are pretty good, but you really have to step out on the lanai and see the rainbows and the surfers and the palm trees to get the full effect. Awesome.

My 3 kids and I attended a wedding June 27, 2009 for my cousin. They live near Diamond Head, and the reception was at the Royal Hawaiian. The Waikiki Banyan is centrally located with easy access to everything. We walked to the wedding reception.

Unfortuantely my wife could not go with us, but even if she had, this condo would have been comfortable for 5 of us with no problem. The rooms are quite large and comfortable.

I have never been able to sleep in a pullout sofa, but I must say, the pullout in this unit is the first one that I have been comfortable on.

Waikiki beach is a very short walk, my kids rented surfboards and had the time of their lives. There are tons of activities close by. We have stayed in Waikiki several times previously, once right next to the International Market Place, which was extremely noisey. The Banyan is locate away from the noise, but is only a 10 minute walk to the center of Waikiki.

I am so impressed and pleased with the Waikiki Banyan that I have contacted an agent to purchase my own unit. In the event that I don't, I will definitely contact Lisa the next time I travel to Honolulu.
