My family and I had the pleasure of spending 6 weeks in this beautiful lakefront home. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Our every need was met, with the home fully stocked for all our desires. In addition, the home was equipped with plenty of boats, canoes and kayaks for us to get full use of the lake. The washer and dryer is a bonus, and the outside shower is a wonderful place to have the kids clean off before entering the home. The location couldn’t have been any better with all sorts of restaurants located nearby. The favorite spot was the covered deck as it provided a comfortable place to put your feet up and relax and take in the views. The owners were very attentive to our needs, and we really appreciated all the tips they provided. We can't wait to go back next year!!! Fantastic home!!

We stayed in this lovely home over Thanksgiving weekend. The bedroom setup was ideal for our diverse configuration of family members, so it worked out perfectly as the “overflow” location for our family hosting the big holiday in their home nearby. The house was bright, cheerful, immaculate, beautifully appointed and inviting. The lake view was lovely,serene whether or not the sun decided to shine. Rich was an excellent host. This place was perfect, and very welcoming. You won’t be disappointed.

My husband, two adult sons (including the prospective groom), four of their friends and I stayed comfortably at this peaceful yet invigorating home. The neighborhood was quiet and lovely, but there were plenty of water acitivities available. The "kids" swam and made good use of the paddle boat. We had @ 35 relatives and friends over the night before my son's wedding. Everyone commented on how lovely the house was and how nice the decks were including the intimate "nook" with a sofa and chairs for private, relaxed conversations. Later, after the party was over, we gathered on the lower deck around the glowing fire pit for drinks and quiet reflection. Rich was the consumate host only a telephone call away. A supermarket and 24-hour gas station were only a few minutes away as were a funky Mexican restaurant and sculpture shop. If you have a wedding at St. Clement's Castle, it is only a five-minute drive. Thanks Rich!

Having grown up in Connecticut, I never imagined the perfect vacation was so accessible. This beautiful residence has everything promised; and looks (if you can believe it) even better in person.

Each beautifully appointed room gives you the excuse and comfort to stay inside if there is inclement weather, but there are even TWO fabulous covered living areas which allowed us to enjoy the experience of a warm summer storm as it crossed the lake.

The beach area is just right for relaxing with your toes in the soft sand. It felt like our own private space. All the floats and chairs the owners make available saved us the bother of packing our own. And the outdoor shower was great for rinsing a swim off before going back in the house.

We'll definitely be back!

What better spot for a perfect summer vacation than this beautiful house on the lake! The house looks great inside and out. Located in the quiet Connecticut woods with good local places to eat and great day trips down to Old Saybrook. Get in the canoe and paddle around the lake or relax on the either of the lakefront decks. Even the bookcase is filled with good books if it rains. Enjoy it. We certainly did. Thanks Rich.

My family and I stayed for 1 week at this wonderful home. The pictures here accurately diplay all of the amentities of this beautiful home. The outdoor decor was as fabulous as the indoor. It made it difficult to decide where to spend your time, which in my book, is a great quandry to be in! What a testament to the beauty of this lake front home. Furthermore it was conveniently located near lots of local fun & great food.

We would absolutely consider returning again and highly recommend this property to others. The owner was a pleasure to deal with. Thanks Rich for accomodating all of our needs!

This place is beautiful! Since it's on a private lake it's very calming and quiet. The house itself has been wonderfully renovated and feels comfortable and luxurious - TWO decks that I can read on?!! Awesome! It was hard to choose which comfy chair to try out first!
The owners are gracious hosts, giving us tips on where to go for groceries, live music, and tasty coffee (try Island Coffee Traders on the way in!). The owners are also very responsive to the renters - when the internet was acting up they came over to fix the problem immediately. My friends and I are already trying to reserve a spot for next year and we plan on bringing more people to enjoy this wonderful getaway!
