This beautifully furnished, 2 story town home is situated in the picturesque village of Ornos, approximately a 10-15 minute drive from the village of Mykonos, on the world famous island of Mykonos. The house is the upper 2 floors of a 3 story building, in a complex of about 10 similar buildings.

It is located at the end of the complex - the closest building to the beach and dozens of colorful tavernas! It has the most privacy of any town home in the complex, and is decorated in historical Greek fashion - white walls with blue shutters and trim, and an interior that is extremely fashionable and upscale. There is a large pool at the bottom of the steps leading to the house, available 24 hours a day from May 15th - October 1st every year.

The village and beach of Ornos is a very easy 5-6 minute walk from the house, where you will find white, sandy beaches and a wide assortment of chairs and umbrellas to soak up the sun and enjoy the spectacular blue-green water of the Mediterranean Sea. You can choose from over 12 tavernas - traditional Greek bars and restaurants - for breakfast, lunch or dinner, and enjoy your drinks or food on the beach or inside the taverna.

In a small shopping mall next to the beach, you will find a small convenience store where you can get last minute items, along with newspapers in most languages. There are ATM machines in several locations nearby, and all will usually accept your ATM card, regardless of the country of origination.

In the other direction from the house, you will find a well supplied supermarket about a ten minute walk from the house, next to an incredible bakery always full of freshly baked breads and pastries. A pharmacy is next door to the supermarket, along with a dry cleaner.

A rental car is recommended to get around the island for the most convenience, but bus service is available to most locations. There is a bus stop in the village of Ornos, a 5 minute walk from the house. Taxi cabs are available, but are limited and waiting times may be lengthy. There are numerous car rental car companies on the island, and a rental car can be arranged for your stay. Keep in mind that almost all cars are five-speed and small, which is ideal for the roads of Mykonos! A jeep is always fun to fully enjoy the sun and openness of driving around the island!

I have traveled to Greece many times, and have found it to be a country with very friendly people, excellent food and beautiful scenery. It was natural for me to buy a house in Greece, and Mykonos is an excellent place for fun as well for relaxation.

We had a great time staying at this townhome in Ornos,on Myconos Island. The location was great. A short nice walk to the beach. Great restaurants, supermarket, and wonderful bakery!! We didn't want to leave. I think if we get a chance to go back to Mykonos, we'll try to stay here again...

Great experience on a greek island!!!

I had one of the best vacation until now.Bedrooms are great (I really enjoyed the one in the upper section),privacy,organized kitchen,a lot of amenities included such as wifi.You can go on foot to Ornos beach which is approximately 8-10' walking.Very nice restaurants in the area and you need nearly 15' driving to go to Chora.Delos was great as well!!!I can't wait for the next time!

Mykonos in September

We had a wonderful week with 2 friends from Athens at this apartment with all the amenities one could hope for (Wifi! We subsequently travelled to Amsterdam where it was much more difficult to get a connection.) The owners had generously donated the place to a fundraising auction for Volunteers in Medicine, an organization that supplies retired medical professionals to people in need. That generosity of spirit is evident in the house where great care has been taken to make visitors feel welcome and it is clear that the enjoyment of the guests is a primary concern. We especially loved being there in the off season when the sea was still deliciously warm but the crowds had diminished. We ate at Ithaka restaurant on Ornos beach multiple times and enjoyed every meal. It had also been recommended by other friends from Athens who frequent Mykonos by boat. A trip To Delos was a special highlight. All in all, we can highly recommend this rental.

Your home is absolutely gorgeous. As soon as you enter for the first time, you breathe the vacation spirit, with a special personal note, we haven't found anywhere else so far! As for the island itself, it's welcoming with a lot of nice, relaxing spots. Summing up, we loved this week - the house, the island, the Greek people...we will definitely come back! It will stay forever in our minds and in the more than 1,500 pictures taken!

Your vacation home is beautiful! We stayed here with our 4 year old and the set up was perfect! We visited many of the beaches while we were here, and spent the last day in Ornos and stayed at the beach until 7 PM and had dinner. We had a wonderful time - thank you!

What a lovely house this is! Very stylish and comfortable, and our two children loved their gallery bedroom! This was our first trip to Mykonos, and we have been most impressed! Ornos Beach is absolutely lovely, and in our opinion has the best beach for families. We mostly spent our days on the beach and then got in the habit of taking the bus to Mykonos for some evening shopping and a meal.You have to visit Mykonos town at least half a dozen times to discover all it's little secrets!

Your home is beautiful with a welcoming and sophisticated ambience - we enjoyed it tremendously! We spent time on the patio having breakfast and "frappe" and went to the numerous beaches. The town was very vibrant and all of the restaurants we tried were delicious. Overall, our trip was amazing.
