Beautiful Getaway - Dreaming of returning soon

Wonderful facilities - very clean - excellent "land lady" - very accomodating - anything you need she has and will give you. The most relaxing place I have ever been. Discovered a "Costco" ilke store just near the airport - instead of going straight onto Bahama Highway - go to the right (9 o'clock on the round about) and it is one your right. Great place to stock up on food for the cottage. Restaurants in Lucaya are plenty and good - But nothing is quite as wonderful as cooking at "home" and watching the sun go down. We will be back - with grandchildren this time! Thank You - Dreaming of returning soon

Me, my wife, and our dog - Tina, spent our 25th wedding anniversary in this cottage. It was one of the best vacations that we've ever had. The cottage was clean and beautiful, and the beach was private. The owner (Gladys) is delightful and a very nice person. Restaurants and the casino are just a short drive away. We didn't need to rent a car as we had a wonderful taxi driver named Smitty who took us everywhere at reasonable rates - use him when you go to Diamonds - Gladys has the information.
If you are looking for a relaxing vacation in a private and safe location, look no further. This is the place you want to go to! Hotels are cold and crowded. Having your own home away from home is the way to go.
We will come back here next year and for many years to come. Enjoy your stay as much as we enjoyed ours - I know you will. And Tina loved it also - she recommends it for your pet.

We stayed at Key Lime and Lilac for a week with our family. We had a wonderful time, loved the property, very clean. Beautiful beach. We walked the beach, swam, cooked on the grill, had pina coladas in the hot tubs. Gladys was very accommodating and bent over backwards for us. We would definitely go back again.
Grand Bahama Island is a great choice for a family vacation....go to Diamonds by the Sea, any of Gladys's properties!!!!!!!

Excellent Rental For Relaxing Vacation

Beautifully situated at beach. Cottages are clean, well appointed, nicely decorated, comfortable and spacious. There are only a few cottages in the compound, which is well-maintained and adorned with lush plants and flowers, so you feel like you’re away from it all. The ocean breezes are soothing. Gladys is eager to accommodate. She is available when needed, but not intrusive. Children are welcome. Churchill Beach, where Diamonds By the Sea is located, is a short distance from Port Lucaya. We love Grand Bahama Island, particularly the beach at Lucayan National Park, which is also only a short drive from Diamonds by the Sea. We intend to go back to Diamonds by the Sea. Highly recommended.

I arrived first and could not have been taken better care by Gladys. The most beautiful lady and her friend were wonderful to me. Then slowly, the rest of my family arrived one by one and each day was great. The Keylime cottage was fabulous and everything and more than I expected and I have stayed at really wonderful hotels all over the world.
The location is great with fun places down the beach to eat and drink with the locals. Getting around is so easy with a car and the Bahamian people are just lovely and friendly.
I cannot wait to go back and stay in the Keylime cottage. But all of Gladys' cottages are exquisite.

We all would like to say Thank You so much for sharing your beautiful cottages and surroundings with us! We all had an extremely relaxing time at Diamonds by the Sea!. The accomodations were perfect for our families! The kids absolutely loved the beach, the sun, the marine life and the entire experience. (as did the adults!) What a truly relaxing place and vacation. It was like we had 2 miles of beach all to ourselves. Bonfires on the beach, listening to the gentle surf, enjoying the natural beauty of the ocean! All spectacular. We will be coming back in the future!

Very charming townhouses on a secluded beach front property. The townhouses are very clean and modern and well kept. The owner gives you total freedom on her property and is very accomodating. The beach area is clean and well kept up with beautiful sand. You are close to Lucaya with many restaurants and great nightlife and casinos.
Diamonds By The Sea is a true gem. I'll stay there again.

We've never been so relaxed...We were a group of six staying in one of the two 3-bedroom cottages. What a wonderful experience! It was September and I think we lived on the beach - the water was so warm! We enjoyed the cottage charm of the unit - the hot tub and the tropical grounds. We will absolutely go back!

We had a great vacation at the Key Lime Cottage of Diamonds By the Sea! The house was very comfortable for a family of 4 and could have easily accomodated 2 more. This is a clean, comfortable beach house just a few steps from a very nice, very secluded beach with very calm waters. Very secluded -- other than a few folks strolling by, you might not see anyone else on the beach as far as the eye can see (we were there at the end of July '07).
Ten minutes by car to the shops and restaurants of Lucaya...lots of great dinner spots there. A decent grocery store nearby for stocking the Diamonds kitchen -- since you're only a few steps off the beach, we ate breakfast and lunch at the cottage most days. (Word to the wise -- check your expiration dates and packaging wherever you shop on Grand Bahama!). There are also a couple of decent restaurants a short stroll down the beach from Diamonds.
The island is great -- we did a swim with the dolphins program, many snorkle trips, and many day trips by car to some great beaches around the island.
The Diamonds by the Sea owners are excellent and very accomodating...we we're treated as part of the family, including a great extended family beach bonfire one night! We were a little apprehensive about sending partial payment before we arrived (no credit cards accepted), but found the owners to be completely trustworthy and would not hesitate to do buisiness with them in the future.
Now, forget everything you just read, because we want to keep this one our own little secret! ;)
