Very Hard To Leave!

We stayed here the second week in October and it was spectacular! It was so quiet and peaceful this time of year. The vast ocean views from every room are so beautiful! We enjoyed the vivid sunrises each morning, watching the moon rise each evening, exploring the rocks and tidal pools around the house and beach, relaxing by the fire in the evenings, and listening to the waves crash continually. Even on a rainy day we weren't upset at all. The views at this place are something special, as we found ourselves staring out the windows to watch the huge swells crash into the rocks below. The house was kept clean and had all the amenities we wanted including plenty of fans for warm weather and a wood stove for the cold fall nights. The main bedroom was comfortable with magnificent views, which we can't stress enough. There are lots of little knick knacks around the house that add to the overall character. We also loved visiting Reid State Park (15 min drive), Acadia national park for the day (little over 3 hr drive), and Bath, ME for some good food and small shops (25 min drive). When the last day of our vacation arrived and the car was packed up, it was very sad to leave this home.
