Very Hard To Leave!

We stayed here the second week in October and it was spectacular! It was so quiet and peaceful this time of year. The vast ocean views from every room are so beautiful! We enjoyed the vivid sunrises each morning, watching the moon rise each evening, exploring the rocks and tidal pools around the house and beach, relaxing by the fire in the evenings, and listening to the waves crash continually. Even on a rainy day we weren't upset at all. The views at this place are something special, as we found ourselves staring out the windows to watch the huge swells crash into the rocks below. The house was kept clean and had all the amenities we wanted including plenty of fans for warm weather and a wood stove for the cold fall nights. The main bedroom was comfortable with magnificent views, which we can't stress enough. There are lots of little knick knacks around the house that add to the overall character. We also loved visiting Reid State Park (15 min drive), Acadia national park for the day (little over 3 hr drive), and Bath, ME for some good food and small shops (25 min drive). When the last day of our vacation arrived and the car was packed up, it was very sad to leave this home.

What a wonderful week!

We spent an amazing week at the end of the summer at the Beal Cottage. It is the perfect retreat--a spot to relax and enjoy the pristine beauty of this part of Maine. The cottage has everything you need and the setting is absolutely magnificent. You can make a day of just reading and relaxing on the deck, or you can take a walk to the beach or to Reid State Park for swimming. Indian Point is a very special place and now we feel like we have experienced a little slice of it that we hope to return to every summer.

Week in Paradise

This cottage was just what the doctor ordered. From the moment we pulled down the driveway and saw the waves crashing on the rocks to sitting on the deck watching the tide come and go we were hypnotized. The cottage is just as described and the pictures accurately display the cottage and the view. We found it difficult to leave the camp to explore the nearby attractions as it was so comfortable. The beds were very comfortable. The view from the master bedroom amazing. The waves at the private beach provided many hours of entertainment for our teenage sons, who swam every day. The sandy bottom made it so nice to wade and body surf. We ate two meals at the 5 Island Lobster Co., beautiful spot to sit on the pier. We also had a lobster dinner at the cottage, cooked by a nearby spot. I guess I can't say enough good things about the cottage. I would highly recommend this property. I hope to return next year.

“Your view…how do you leave to go home? I sit at your kitchen table surrounded by high tide and gorgeous grey swells breaking in front of me. I feel as if I’m sitting in a watercolor painting looking across at the oyster colored rocks, the stand of pines, the curve of beach…truly lovely. We are charmed with the cottage. From the instant that we walked in we noticed the little details that speak volumes…the tree branch towel bars, the stone fireplace, the hidden air vents under the beams. We’d love to talk about returning.”

“I spent two weeks at the cottage and really enjoyed my stay. The location was what I wanted-right on the water, with crashing waves yet very close to a private sandy beach and Reid State Park. The cottage is about 10 minute drive to the little village of Georgetown which has some good spots for Lobster and crab rolls and chowder, as well as a post office, general store and Georgetown pottery. The main road is about 20 minutes away and once there you can get to Portland, Boothbay, Rockland, Camden and many other spots for a great day trip.”

"One of the rare bold open ocean locations on the New England coast. Add several sandy beaches within walking distance and you have a recipe for an idyllic seaside vacation. We thoroughly enjoyed the combination of all of the above, plus the peace and quiet of setting. The views are 180 degrees of spectacular, with views of lighthouses from every window. We'll be back"

"The Beal cottage was a perfect Maine retreat. There are many
interesting things to do in the vicinity--like visiting Bath, Damariscotta
or Reid State Park. But what makes the cottage so special is its location
on a bluff overlooking the shoreline and ocean. The views were so
spectacular and the changing tides so hypnotic that we didn't leave the
cottage for several days."

“Your cottage at Indian Point, Maine was a treasure I was privileged to find. When we pulled up in the driveway and saw our first glimpse of the ocean and then heard and smelled it after getting out if our car, we all just looked at each other and smiled with satisfaction. Your cottage has everything we saw in pictures on the website and more. I was not really prepared for the amazing views and feel of the place. The cottage had all the amenities, even some we were surprised by, like the "hidden" hatches in the walls to let in the sea air and sound. Falling asleep to that kind of comfort was a form of bliss.
Having a sand beach within sight and only a five minute walk was perfect for our 12 yr. old and her friend. The light waves that wash up on the beach are just enough fun for kids but not menacing for parents. While I could sit on a smooth beach rock and read, the kids were able to swim around and get messy in the sand. My husband, who is an avid biker, found many sparsely traveled roads to explore in and around the point. I'd say that your cottage has something great for everyone in the family, and we couldn't have 'found' and been lucky enough to experience a more desirable vacation spot. I could go on.”
