From the minute we arrived the beach house felt like home. Our young children were amazed at all the games, toys, crafts, and books. They weren't even intersted in t.v. The cottage had everything we needed from wood for the campfire, to beach toys,and all kitchen/laundry supplies. It was the little things that made our stay most enjoyable and comfortable.

We spent many days just playing on the beach, walking to the harbour to buy fresh lobsters, and enjoying campfires nightly. It was truly a relaxing vacation and we were all sad to leave.

If you are looking for a deep sea fishing experience we highly recommend Captain Kenny Waypoint 04. He treated us like family and our kids had a blast pulling in Mackrel.

We can't wait to return for another visit and our kids ask when we are going back daily !

We visited in late July and experienced a wonderful time at the Seashore Cottage. We felt at home the minute we walked in the door! The ocean is out the back door and most days began with a morning walk along the shore collecting sea glass and taking in the view. We never ran out of things to do- we really enjoyed the peacefulness that this setting provided. The cottage is very clean, well kept and tastefully decorated. It was easy to cook for ourselves and everything we needed was provided in the kitchen and beyond- you have truly thought of everything! The screened in porch was a perfect setting for our evening meals. We enjoyed front row seats to amazingly beautiful sunsets! My kids spent some down time watching videos on DVD players that were provided, playing games and putting puzzles together. We enjoyed sitting in front of the fireplace at night, sipping drinks and talking about the fun we had during the day.

The Seashore Cottage was the perfect getaway for us and what a vacation really should be. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a low stress, convenient and family/group friendly setting!

Beautifully decorated cottage with an open and spacious floor plan, plenty of sleeping space, fantastic screened in porch, and cozy fireplace. Kitchen and eat at bar excellent for lobster and martini preparation. Big gorgeous sky with the most memorable sunsets you’ll ever see. Peaceful red-sand beaches and beautiful waters made for great morning runs and afternoon swims. Especially loved watching the kids dig in the sand and splash in the water. The Seashore Cottage made for a fantastic way to disconnect from work and reconnect with family and friends. I can’t imagine a better place in PEI!

Spending endless hours searching for sea glass, shells and jellyfish on your own secluded beach, watching your children's eyes light up as they build that perfect sand castle, frolicking with the shadows of gentle waves and quiet evening breezes, and let us not forget the incredible sunsets sitting out on the deck or by the fire pit after the lobster dinner you just cooked...this is the Seashore Cottage.

We could not have been more pleased with our stay at the cottage. As a mother of two young boys, the amenities such as all the pots, towels, linens, and cleaning supplies (including the use of the washer and dryer and a dishwasher and detergent) made life tremendously easier. Truly, all we needed was a few days change of clothes and our toothbrushes.

I will have to admit when I first started to look at cottage rentals in PEI, I was torn between getting a cottage on its own beach or renting a cottage closer to the tourist areas like Cavendish but having to share the beach. After our stay at the the Seashore cottage, I spent a few days in the Cavendish and Charlottetown areas. After having done both, I can say that the seclusion is actually what you want. The beaches in the Cavendish area were absolutely littered with people. The tourist attractions were exactly that...tourist attractions, or more so tourist traps. The comfort of having your own beach and the convenience of being able to simply walk the length of a backyard to get back home outweighs any gains that a more centrally located cottage may offer.

The final word, I would definitely return to the Seashore Cottage on my next visit to PEI. It has helped us define what the PEI experience means.

When we were searching for a vacation home on Prince Edward Island, it was important to us to be right on the water. This cottage was everything we wanted and more. It "was" right on the water with long views of the ocean, bluffs and beach as far as you could see. The owners went to great detail to make you feel welcome and even included bikes and helmets and rafts for all of us to enjoy. Our boys (9 and 11) loved the beach and water and spent the majority of our vacation boogie boarding in the ocean as we watched them from the inviting screened-in porch. We were close to restaurants, a water park and even went deep sea fishing for an afternoon only a half hour away. We cooked lobster fresh from the boats of Miminegash and enjoyed the peaceful, beautiful setting and comfort of the house. The weather was perfect. The water was warm and the treasures on the beach were plentiful. It was the best vacation we ever had. We can't wait to come back.

This cottage was exactly what we expected and more. Very private, beautiful setting in a quiet area of PEI. We loved our stay here! Our two children, 3 and 5 found this the perfect spot to play and relax. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this cottage to anyone interested in a place to relax and soak up time with your family in a beautiful location. Not a detail was forgotten from large beach towels to toys for the children and a fully equipped kitchen. We also loved that we were able to do our laundry while on vacation, allowing us to pack less.

Excellent location. Beach front with beautiful sunsets, starry skies, refreshing breezes. The cottage is extremely well stocked with everything from beach, bath, and kitchen towels, appliances, books and games, beach umbrella, everything you need for the kitchen, and the very important lobster pot! We had the best tasting lobster. I don't think you could ask for nicer accommodations. We love Prince Edward Island! And we recommend Matthew's Deep Sea Fishing. Seashore Cottage is a fabulous place to stay!

We found the Seashore Cottage to be exactly as advertised. Cottage was clean & comfortable, with all the required amenities for a week long family vacation. On site laundry allowed us to pack lightly. Our two children (10 & 12) loved their rooms.
We visited the cottage in early July, and the weather was perfect. We also valued the safe environment that allowed them to spend hours finding treasure on the beach while we relaxed. The few people we encountered on the beach were all friendly, and often offered suggestions on local beaches, stores, and restaurants.
The location allowed us to easily explore the island's west coast, and it was also an easy day trip to 'Anne's Land'.
While I was originally a skeptic, I now know that a trip would not be complete without a slice of Seaweed Pie. Not at all what I expected!
