Great Place in Princeville

Date of Stay: July 2008
We stayed at the condo the last week of July 2008 and would like to share our experience. This is the first time that we rented a condo from someone not referred by a friend. My wife was concerned about giving out our credit card number to a stranger. I shared this concern with Sunita, and she was very understanding and was not pushy about it. She offered to provide references for us to call. A bit later I found out that you can register your trip with www.homeaway.com and they will refund up to $5000 if it turns out the rental is not legitimate. This boosted our confidence about renting this place. Of course, you should read the fine print, etc. for yourselves.
As it turns out, we found nothing to worry about; dealing with Sunita was very easy. She’s straight forward and gives accurate information. The place was roomy. We have two teenagers, and they like to have their own space. We gave them the master bedroom which is large enough to accommodate an inflatable queen size bed in addition to the king size bed that’s already there. It also has its own bathroom. This suited our teenagers perfectly (no need to share a bed, plus space to hang out and read or watch TV away from mom and dad).
The condo comes with full kitchen, BBQ, utensils, blender, and even a rice cooker! We were surprised to find beach chairs and towels and several boogie boards to take along to the beach. We were very comfortable there.
There’s Foodland, a supermarket, about a mile away. Food on Kauai is more expensive than on the mainland; cooking your own meal can save some money.
We liked our stay very much. This place is not on the beach so if you’re hoping to just walk out the front door to be on the beach, this place won’t suit. If you are looking for a north shore place that’s close to several great beaches for snorkeling and the Na Pali coast, this is a great place.
