First off, I have to say I was so impressed by the owners quick & personable responses to our inquiry about availability & any questions we had. Excellent customer service.
Now to the home - never having rented a vacation home before I was skeptical if the home would really match the description & pictures. When we entered the home we were all blown away by the décor, attention to detail & cleanliness - not to mention the view! Absolutely no smell of any prior dogs at all!
We had an extended Mother’s Day weekend with 5 family members & 2 pups. The weekend weather could not have been more beautiful. We were even able to BBQ! As prior guests have mentioned the beds and linens were top notch. My mom even asked me if I lifted the sheets to find out what mattresses were on the beds!
The owners have made every attempt to make their guests feel at home with closet space, hangers, drawer & bathroom cabinet space. The kitchen was equipped with basic necessities for cooking. The fridge does have filtered ice and water. Showers for everyone were easy with the tankless water heater. It was so nice not having to schedule shower times for 5 people. We were able to unpack and unwind. Three nights was not nearly enough.
The beach was a quick 2 minute drive away. About 5 if walking to the beach access north of the home-there is a steep hill to go down & 15 min walking to the beach access south of the house in town. The south beach does require a Discovery Pass to park your vehicle - no vehicles on the south beach. The north beach is free and you can drive on the beach. The house is set back from the cliff with an RV park in front but absolutely nothing blocks the view of the ocean, the waves hitting the beach or the sunset. The RV park was so quiet we never heard any RV’s coming or going or any of the RV guests talking. It was quiet & perfect.
We had an incredible time on the beach & the dogs came home exhausted. This is truly a home that is dog friendly. We had our black lab with us who has a hard wagging tail that can knock anything off a table; we didn’t have to move one thing to prevent her tail from breaking anything.
Our only disappointment was not having a fenced yard for the dogs. While they’re indoor dogs they both love to be outside sniffing new things and playing.
Highly recommend this home to anyone looking for an ocean view property who will travel with pups or anyone who isn’t traveling with pups.

Your photos don't do this house justice. We felt we had walked into a Home & Garden magazine. Every touch considered; everything top notch--quite literally. SPOTLESS. Very well-appointed. Elegant. Beautiful. I spent much time dozing on the lovely deck watching the waves, napping on the chaise in the living room, and enjoying the bubbly hot tub. My husband and I took our own folding chairs out to the surf and just sat and enjoyed the Pacific as the tide rolled in. We saw a porpoise! The kitchen was a dream, as were, of course, the luscious bedrooms and baths. James was over-the-top sweet even when I was a little bit high maintenance (change of plans, etc.). Extremely well planned home for kids (are you kidding me--how many games are in that kids' toy closet?? and the xbox, videos, TV channels...). Do plan for a lack of cell phone service within 15 miles, and no available pay phones; make sure you get the house number when you reserve and all will be well. So great to be out of touch for a couple of days!!! We will be back!! Wow!

Our family got together for a graduation celebration and reconnecting with each other. Our original house fell through at the last minute which turned out to be a blessing in disguise!! I booked Joey's house on Thursday afternoon and we went on a Friday. What a beautiful house, an incredible view and such amazingly thoughtful hosts! They have thought of every possible necessity as well as luxury items! Beautifully decorated, fully stocked and such a welcoming feel to it. We will definately be back. I highly recommend this house to anyone wanting a varitery of tings to do without having to leave, or a family get away. Thank you again!!! Amazing experience!!

4 families, each renting a beach house in Seabrook, Moclips, Ocean Shores and Pacific Beach. Out of all of them, Joey's was the winner! Superb accommodations! Out of any beach home we've stayed in thus far, Joey's has a special touch. The first thing we noticed right away are the beds. Every bed in this house is oh so comfortable and the bedding isn't cheap Walmart crap that each of the other beach homes seem to bestow upon their unsuspecting clients:( Surprisingly, Seabrook had the least comfortable beds out of all the homes and that place is supposed to be more "high end." NOT!

Anyway, Joey's is definitely the best! Hands down. I don't need to say more because everyone who visited were blown away and I was so glad we discovered the best of the 4 homes because we stayed here for a week and everyone else ended up wishing they chose this place instead of the others.

Our dogs were pampered with yummy dog treats, throw sheets for the furniture and the fluffy towels to dry off with. On top of that, we had a CLEAN hot tub!! My sister and her husband stayed at Seabrook and you could tell right away the tub hadn't been cleaned...well, you get the picture. GROSS!

The owners of this home put a lot of pride in it and it really shows. Everything is top notch quality without being overpriced. The furnishings here will make you wanna go on a shopping spree for your own house! They really are that wonderful! Another thing that comes to mind is the tankless water heater. Every beach home should have one! Our friends who stayed in Moclips and Seabrook ran out of hot water after the first shower in the morning. The family that stayed in Ocean Shores left the 2nd day because the water was brown! SAD! Don't fool yourself with gimmicky homes that promise nothing but crap. Stay in a place that is truly excellent and enjoy your stay at Joey's Beach House!

A large group rented both Joey's and another (to remain anonymous) nearby guest house. I was put in Joey's house and lucked out! A beautiful place, with a great living/dining/kitchen area - so spacious and comfortable. The hot tub was perfect after a run, kitchen was well stocked for cooking, the view of the beach is great, especially nice from the wrap-around deck, and all the bedrooms were comfortable - slept like a baby. Our family and friends were wishing they could move over to Joey's, their nearby house was not nearly as nice, even though it was similarly priced. Joey's is a great value and makes for a great comfortable vacation.

What a great getaway! it was just me and my two dogs for the entire weekend and what a perfect way to just unplug myself from the world and be totally and completely relaxed! You folks are probably the nicest people I've ever encountered in my travels. I've taken my dogs everywhere and spend a lot of time on the road with work. Never have I been so welcomed than by you and your gracious hosts. People could learn a lot from you and I hope they do! This is truly a luxury getaway and I know I'll be back again soon! Thank you so much!!

Superb! Our family had a great time here and the beds are simply the most comfortable we've ever slept on! Bravo to such a great place to call home away from home:) Our large and extended family member's ended up staying in other homes in the area. What was interesting is that they all ended up hanging out at Joey's since they didn't particularly like the location or the accommodations of where they were staying. A true testament to the brilliance and design of your gracious home. We can't wait to come back here again!

Picture postcard perfect! Our daughters felt like they were living in a magazine staying here. It's simply a work of art! We live in a coastal community and it was such a blessing to come here and enjoy the ambience of a real coastal town not robbed of its essence and simple life ideals. Our dogs especially appreciated all the "extras" they got. We don't usually let them sleep on our bed at home but thanks to your lovely throw sheets, they got to experience an extra special treat:) The hot tub was especially nice and the dual shower was a huge plus! Best place we've stayed thus far and we hope to be back again!
