A nice relaxing place to stay

A group of three of us stayed in Villa 62 in Pacific Harbour on our holiday to Fiji in May 2007. The house was a delight. The ground floor has beautiful polished timber floors and a large lounge area with glass doors opening onto a pool from a covered verandah - perfect for morning swims and eveningcocktails. The ground floor also includes one bedroom, a bathroom, laundry and the kitchen. The upper story has a huge bedroom again with beautiful timber floors overlooking the garden and with a lovely view to the river.
There are two spacious bathrooms on the top and bottom floors, and heaps of wardrobe space. The house, pool and garden were very well maintained including a housekeeper who would come
in at prearranged times to clean the house and change the flowers (a nice touch).
The negatives? We were a group of 3 singles wanting separate beds which meant that we had to use the window seat in the top bedroom as a bed which was not ideal. The other negative was in the kitchen. The stove was old and seemed to lack temperature control. We missed a microwave for easy
cooking in the warm weather. However, we believe that a microwave has now been installed which is great.
The local cultural centre was excellent, nice shops, a supermarket and the cultural tour was excellent. The cafe there was a favourite evening eating place, excellent food and friendly people. There was also a chinese restaurant and the white pearl resort and restaurant within walking distance of the house. Beyond this, you really had to have a car although the taxi
service is not too bad. We hired a car from the local garage, not flashy, but it got us around for sightseeing and as far as Suva.
Overall it was a great place to spend our holiday!
Owner's Response: Thank you for writing a review for our villa. You'll be happy to know that we now have a microwave. Also, we have added a third bed to accomodate more guests. Sorry for the inconvenience when you were here.
