Great Experience

Review Submitted: February 9, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2008
We had a great time! It was nice to have the comforts of home, internet, TV, washer/dryer, etc. Thank you for everyone's help and suggestions while we were there. We loved the village/school tour through the Pearl Resort and Spice Garden Tour which is a little more than a 1/2 hour drive. Raj will help with directions. Also, if anyone likes to scuba dive, the shark dive is a must!!

When we were here, the pool was a little cold for swimming but I am sure in the summer months it will feel wonderful. It is a little smaller than what it appears in the picture.

Thank you for a wonderful time.

Owner's Response: Glad you had a good time in Pacific Harbour. We usually stay here in the warmer months. Sorry to hear that it was too cool for you to swim though. Sounds like you had plenty of other adventures that you both enjoyed. Thanks again for renting our villa!

Everything we could have wanted

Thank you all for making our stay at Villa 62 so wonderful. We had a fabulous time in Pacific Harbour - snorkelling, kayaking, eating and drinking! We attended a wedding at the Pearl and found that many of our friends who were guests at the resort loved coming to our villa to visit for the ambience, home cooked meals, pool and the cocktails we provided!
Owner's Response: Thanks for posting a review for us. This villa certainly does have an attractive ambience to either have time on your own or entertain guests. It was originally designed and built for Sir John Falvey, the former attorney General of Fiji, and we've heard that they had many social occasions in this beautiful setting.

Had a wonderful time at this Villa. Special thanks to the owners who helped and offered advice plus organizing the loungers for us was great and really appreciated!! The local Arts centre is great, supermarket, bank and shops etc and is all you need. The Pearl Resort and Uprising Resort are great for food and drink - wonderful people. Vinaka to you all!! The most relaxing place we have ever visited!
Owner's Response: We enjoyed reading your review and hearing about your stay here. Since we got the loungers by the pool, many guests have commented on it, so thanks for that suggestion! Please do come again.

Villa 62, an awesome place to spend our honeymoon! Many thanks to Raj, Sushila and Richard for your hospitality, suggestions and help throughout our stay. Enjoyed taking out the canoe and paddling the canals - beautiful sights! Spent a lot of our time at the Arts Village. It has everything you need - supermarket, restaurant, ATM's, bars and boutiques. Try a pinacolada at the Tiki Pool Bar - Awesome! Cool people, nice food and pumping sounds. A home away from home...All in all this was a perfect place to relax and unwind. Vinaka!
Owner's Response: Thanks very much for your great review. Wonderful that you enjoyed all the local attractions and were able to really relax and take it easy here. That's what we love about Pacific Harbour.

Paradise Plus!

Review Submitted: March 26, 2008 Date of Stay: March 2008
Beautiful house in a beautiful location. Calm and quiet, but within easy walking distance of resorts, stunning beaches, shops and restaurants. The house is spacious and well stocked. The pool, washer/dryer and A/C were all particularly appreciated. The furnishings were elegant and the house and yard are very well-maintained. The overall feel of the place is well-kept, balanced and very relaxing.

Delicious, football sized Avocados from the garden were a particularly nice bonus. As were the miles of sandy beaches and swimming. The local 'Cultural Center', with cultural events, local craft stores, a supermarket and coffee shop/juice bar provided all the necessities. Fine dining/spas were available at several adjoining resorts. Local scuba diving a must! We would very much like to return here and would highly recommend this property to our family and friends alike.
Owner's Response: Thanks for your wonderful review. We're happy that you had such a delightful experience at our Villa and the surrounding areas. Plenty to do there and also plenty of privacy to just relax and do nothing! Please do come again.

Super deal and super time

We have stayed at this villa a number of times. It is spacious and well appointed. I found it extremely peaceful there. Very little noise, I was able to walk to the beach, the shops, the river.Everything in the villa is just perfect, it has all you need and is very luxurious without being ostentatious.
I especially liked the bedroom which overlooks the river where I could also read and or do yoga .In all, you are sure to have a really relaxing, peaceful and unspoilt total rest if you rent this villa.
We both enjoyed going to eat at the restaurants nearby at the Cultural Centre and also visiting the nearby PAcific Harbour beach. It was always empty and totally ours! For another experience there is a nice hotel just down the road for a little jazz on a sunday afternoon or a meal anytime or a coffee. Long long walks along the beach suited me just fine.
There is everything you need on your doorstep around that area. THe property is very clean and well maintained. We loved the swimming pool and often just ate outside next to it on the terrace. UMMM lovely and very tropical without being over the top. We also went on adventurous excursions on one of our visits there and they are extremely worth while too, like rafting and going on the river trips.
Laura and Brian.
Owner's Response: Great to read your review. Thanks very much. Sounds like you made the best of everything this area has to offer and really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the villa too. Glad your stay was well worth it.

A home in paradise

Harrington Novato, CA USA
Review Submitted: March 10, 2008 Date of Stay: January 2008
This home was built with relaxation in mind. The home has a very beautiful design in a very quiet area and I found myself quickly letting go of all thoughts about work and stress. With a beautiful pool outside the sliding living room doors, an easy walk to all amenities - including a top rated hotel with outstanding restaurants, a world-class golf course, excellent furnishings, beautiful landscaping and a short walk to the warm waters of the South Pacific, this is a home I'll return to many times. The owners take obvious pride in their home as the place has a calm presence that completely adds to the regenerative process of being there. You will be thankful you found this beautiful spot in paradise.
Owner's Response: It was a pleasure to read your review. We do spend a lot of time relaxing here in our Villa and we're happy that you had the same experience. The pace is so much different here in the South Pacific and it's good to have a place to come to that supports that.

top stay

The house itself was spacious and well laid out, kitchen fully fitted and easy to work in. Lovely big windows looking out onto a refreshing swiming pool in the garden, which is very peacefull and privite with thick hedges all round. It was nice a quiet there being far from any main roads. Close by was miles of incredible beach and a village of entertainment and food aplenty. The best thing was the adventurous sports office just down the road where we booked a ride from there deep into the forested mountains and took a 6 hour raft trip down the most incredible and beautiful river ever, there were deep gorges tunnelled out by the water, high forests and incredible waterfalls were we stopped for luch and breaks. One of the best stays in ages, thank you.
Owner's Response: Thanks very much for your great review of our home. We appreciate you taking the time to let us and other potential renters hear about your stay and we hope you will come again. We have also taken the Upper Navua Raft trip and it was absolutely breathtaking. Not to be missed!

A nice relaxing place to stay

Review Submitted: March 9, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2007
A group of three of us stayed in Villa 62 in Pacific Harbour on our holiday to Fiji in May 2007. The house was a delight. The ground floor has beautiful polished timber floors and a large lounge area with glass doors opening onto a pool from a covered verandah - perfect for morning swims and eveningcocktails. The ground floor also includes one bedroom, a bathroom, laundry and the kitchen. The upper story has a huge bedroom again with beautiful timber floors overlooking the garden and with a lovely view to the river.
There are two spacious bathrooms on the top and bottom floors, and heaps of wardrobe space. The house, pool and garden were very well maintained including a housekeeper who would come
in at prearranged times to clean the house and change the flowers (a nice touch).
The negatives? We were a group of 3 singles wanting separate beds which meant that we had to use the window seat in the top bedroom as a bed which was not ideal. The other negative was in the kitchen. The stove was old and seemed to lack temperature control. We missed a microwave for easy
cooking in the warm weather. However, we believe that a microwave has now been installed which is great.
The local cultural centre was excellent, nice shops, a supermarket and the cultural tour was excellent. The cafe there was a favourite evening eating place, excellent food and friendly people. There was also a chinese restaurant and the white pearl resort and restaurant within walking distance of the house. Beyond this, you really had to have a car although the taxi
service is not too bad. We hired a car from the local garage, not flashy, but it got us around for sightseeing and as far as Suva.
Overall it was a great place to spend our holiday!
Owner's Response: Thank you for writing a review for our villa. You'll be happy to know that we now have a microwave. Also, we have added a third bed to accomodate more guests. Sorry for the inconvenience when you were here.

Relaxing and Romantic

Review Submitted: March 6, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2007
This is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the warm Fijian breezes. It was helpful to have all the amenities included (dishwasher, laundry, etc.) and a full kitchen so that we could make meals if we wanted. Short stroll to the beach, stores, and pick-up spots for adventure trips (we did a snorkeling trip to Yanuca and a river-kayaking trip - also very highly recommended). Great place for people who want to get away from the grind.
Owner's Response: Thanks for your kind review of our Villa. Also great to hear that you got out and enjoyed the local adventures. We are in an ideal location for that. A wonderful way to spend your vacation.
