1stTrip to Santa Fe, + Alberquerque, ballon fest

My neighbors and I wanted to experience the Alberquerque Ballon Fest, so we decided to book this condo in Santa Fe. The ballon fest was cancelled due to the winds, thus we drove in late at night to find the condo. Shelly had advised us to bring a flashlight, which we did as the place was a bit dark to find the lockbox for the key. Once we did, boy were we surprised.
The condo is very big, plenty of room for individual space, and the views are wonderful. The place was clean, organized with items in the kitchen, bathrooms, laundry, similar to timeshares; dishes, linen, cleaning supplies, etc. That night we went to the market and stocked up on some items, and her fridge and pantry had the room for our items. The condo is only about 10 minutes from Santa Fe, which was okay with us, as we would hop on the freeway, and before we knew it, we were already on Guadalupe street.
The condo is in the outskirts in a rural looking area, and the views are the hills, bushes, and other condo resorts. If you want peace and quiet, and privacy, something close to town, but not in-town, this is the place.
The condo itself has the comforts of home, kitchen, front room, dining room, washroom, and bedrooms. She has books, dvds, and a visitor book with menus, ideas where to go, maps, etc.
Distance to Balloon Fest is 45 min, Alberquerquee Airport 1 hour. Santa Fe 10 min, Chimayo about 25 min, and Taos about 1 hour and 10 minutes.
For first time explorers in Santa Fe, this condo is situated near Tesque/Opera exit and is easy to find during the day. But if arriving at night, ensure you have someone looking for highway markers or use GPS as there is no streetlights in the area.
Overall... Good Experience.! Shelly is very responsive. I needed to know details, and she always responded. Thanks again Shelly!
Advise: Take a flashlight in case of late night returns to condo, outside timer lights may not be on, and if it rains, snows the steps may be wet. Also map out the freeway, it loops like a horseshoe, and condo is in the middle. Leaving the condo on 592, if you make a right or left on 73, you will need to go south on the 284/85 to get to Santa Fe.
Several wide steps to get to front door, advise walk slow, and dont forget to take an umbrella incase of rain.
Owner's Response: Thank you Alicia for the nice review! I will work on getting the timer for the outside lights fixed. Sorry, I can't do anything about weather conditions!
Shelley
