My husband and two eight year old girls and I just returned from a very memorable 12 day vacation at this property. It is an executive style luxury home located in a gated community with lots of privacy and a stunning view of the Pacific coastline. We were so very comfortable there, we found it difficult to get motivated to go "do something" sometimes. The photos are lovely and true but do not show you details such as good quality sheets, mattresses and bed coverings, fine covings and moldings, discreet lighting within the covings, marble finishes, solid wood doors throughout, all walk-in closets with lights. This is not a typical "rental".

The professional landscaping must have been completed after the photos posted here. There are now many more interesting trees, shrubs and plants in place now, all beautifully maintained. The outdoor shower area has discreet plantings to allow for privacy. We loved this outdoor shower and used it in preference to the indoor shower - just because we could.

The property is in a very central location to many interesting and exciting activities like horse-back riding in the forest to waterfalls, kayaking through the mangroves, white water rafting, trekking in the rainforest, walking on gorgeous beach etc. Otherwise, we were content to stay home and play in the pool, do yoga on the terrace, watch exotic birds (especially in the early morning and before sunset), paint water colours of the breathtaking scenery, read, nap or sip cocktails. We watched DVDs (the owners' collection as well as the DVDs that we brought) on the large flat screen TV at night although we were often so tired from our early morning starts and busy days that we were asleep by 8:30 or 9:00 pm!

While staying here, we dined out and ate in. We cooked some nights and also hired a local cook, Jennifer, as recommended by Huascar, to cook for us other nights. She made superb meals with lots of leftovers for lunch the following day. One day we called and asked if she would make us some fish for supper. She showed up at 5 pm with beautiful tilapia. I asked her where she got it and she said that she had caught it herself for us that afternoon. Jennifer charged $40 to prepare her beautiful meals which were healthy, delicious and beautifully presented.

Bill was a great to deal with in making arrangements and Huascar very kindly helped us with local needs. We felt very much at home at Casa de Corazon and cannot wait to go back.
