a wonderful stay

We were very very pleased by the flat; it is as good as described. The vacation is excellent with both a grocery store and a bus stop nearby. We were able to park our car and use public transportation to get around SF. We loved staying in a real neighborhood in San Francisco. The flat has all the comforts of home and is very well decorated and maintained. I highly recommend this flat.

My husband, sister and I were so pleased to find such a comfortable, welcoming place to stay. The house is charming and the neighborhood is calm. All instructions and suggestions were helpful and clear. We enjoyed the garden one sunny afternoon and had friends stop in for dinner. If you're a walker, the De Young, Academy of Sciences etc, are within reach. We took the 21 bus home (from just outside the park north of the museums), which stops at Central on Hayes.
We've stayed in SF hotels many times in the past, but this is so much more relaxing. We will be back.

Our five year old son loved playing in the beautiful garden and also enjoyed the Alamo Square playground that was in walking distance.

Getting around the city was a breeze from this location (lots of bus options). It was a very quiet neighbourhood for sleeping too.

For a comfortable stay in the city, ease of using public transportation, a place to park your car, some nearby coffee and breakfast places to get you going, the convience of a nearby market, and a delightful garden to enjoy, this is the place to stay. The description of the house is accurate, the location is central, and the owers are very helpful. I have recommended this home to many friends and I look forward to staying there again and again and again.

I am an American based in Mexico City and my job is traveling the world representing an international legal network. So, when I say I have stayed in thousands of hotels and rental apartments this is no exaggeration. What I am leading up to is that my month's stay in David's home was singularly the most comfortable traveling experience I have ever had, bar none!

I never felt like I was visiting in San Francisco, I felt like I was truly living there. I was even depressed when I had to leave and return to my own home. The location is superb with easy transportation to any part of the city very close by. Also, the neighborhood is filled with interesting cafes and restaurants. And there is a supermarket one short block from the front door. The apartment itself is fully equipped and it seemed to me a close friend had said, “Here are the keys. You can stay in my apartment while you are in San Francisco.”

In addition, I want to say the owner and his associate went far beyond what is even reasonable to expect of someone renting an apartment. They were responsive to my every request with immediate attention. If you are going to be in San Francisco for any length of time, you would do yourself a disservice if you did not stay here.

We regularly rent self-catered accommodation and David’s apartment must rate as one of the best we’ve used. From the outset, we received professional, friendly, timely communications and our first impressions of the apartment continued to exceed expectations. A spacious, clean, stylish pad, which we quickly settled into as if it were our own during a two week stay over Christmas/New Year.

Safe neighbourhood, great amenities nearby – including a fab supermarket and a good selection of cafes and restaurants (DO NOT miss the wonderful Poleng Lounge– delicious pan-Asian food and one of our best meals while in California – and it’s less than 100m from the front door). The bus stop round the corner takes you straight down to the ocean (great for a morning run along the beach and you can then walk home) or downtown (for shopping and sightseeing). We walked everywhere but also had Muni passports so that we could hop on and off buses, cable cars and streetcars at a moment’s notice.

Absolutely no complaints or suggestions for improvements – the apartment had everything we needed (and more) – and the PC and CD/DVD library was great. Loved the Little Miss Sunshine DVD!

I just hope we can come back to SF again soon ...

We were able to cook and serve a lovely family dinner in the kitchen and dining areas. The proximity of the local market and Starbucks was a huge plus as was the off-street parking. We were most impressed by the prompt, professional and courteous service that governed every interaction that we had with he owner and manager.
