A quiet, cozy vacation spot

Our time here was great, minus a few issues. We did not have cable at all, even after having to stay home with the cable guy for 3 hours. One more than one occasion we had people coming to the house that we had no idea about, two or three times being the pool guy. It just would've been nice for a heads up, especially after the cable guy issues. Other than this the house was great! The private pool is perfect if you just want to stay in and get some sun. The house is walking distance to a shopping center with a Winn Dixie and some restaurants. Only other problem was getting the security deposit back. A vaccum was broken and although we tried to fix it, we were still charged (understandable), however we were also charged for a sheet that were damaged before we got there. For these two minor issues we were charged $350, seems a bit steep. But it really was a nice trip and other than the deposit issues, the owners were overall extremely nice and easy to work with.

Owner's Response: As a vacation rental homeowner, the greatest compliment that we can receive is to have a guest return to visit our home. This is a measure of our success. Many of our guest return each year. Our home is their home away from home. We give careful consideration when it is necessary to keep a security deposit or a portion of the deposit to replace or repair an item that has been damaged during a guest's stay. We realize that the return of a security deposit adds to the recollection of a positive vacation experience. When an item has to be replaced like a vacuum, the vacuum that this guest may find satisfactory to clean their college dorm room or apartment may not meet the needs of a house at the beach, with high priority placed on cleanliness and able to meet commercial demands. We replace items using our normal high standards. In our contract we ask our guests to contact us within the first 24 hours of their stay in the event they find existing damage or something that does not seem to be right upon their arrival. This is to insure that a guest is not charged an unfare charge. The cable company is the cable company. Still a little behind in PCB. We are selective when allowing college student groups. This group of college students was a good group and would be welcome back. Visit SummerWind II, our private swimming pool is waiting and is in pristine condition and will continue to be serviced twice a week.
