Great Stay in Maui

My wife and I stayed in this condo in June '09 and had a fabulous time. Condo was clean, well stocked, and located in a great area. Hotel staff were friendly and the grounds were very nice. Had a rental car to get around ($9 parking/day), but also walked quite a bit (south/east to Black Rock, north/west to an amazing Farmer's Market). Deck views were fantastic for sunsets and wonderful for starting the day. Ken was a pleasure to deal with and everything was as promised. A great deal and would definitely rent again.

My husband and I had a wonderful time in this Kaanapali Shores unit. We were there the second week in February. The unit is clean, comfortable and has plenty of storage space. Windows in the front and back of the unit allow a wonderful breeze so no air conditioning was ever needed. While this unit is toward the back end of Kaanapali Shores and is not directly on the beach, it does have a wonderful view of the ocean and neighboring islands. Staying in Kaanapali Shores is like staying in a resort. The staff is very freindly and helpful, the pools are great and there are plenty of chairs around the pools (there are two) and the beach for everyone. The resturant is also very good. There is a grocery store, scuba shop, ice crean shop and various stores directly across the street (a minutes walk) and while you have to pay $9 per day for parking to the resort, the parking is covered and there were always spots pretty close to the elevator. Kaanapali Shores is north of the Kaanapoli Resort area but there is a wonderful beach walk you can stroll to get to Whaler's Village. It takes about 30 to 45 minutes to get to Whatler's Village if you follow the path. Make sure you check out the Whale Museum there. Very interesting. Ken the owner of this unit was great to deal with and was very prompt in answering any of our questions. Our security deposit was mailed back to us within a week of our departure. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend this property and any of Ken's other properties to friends.

This place was perfect for us. It had everything we needed to feel at home, full kitchen and all. The studio was clean and nicely decorated. The ocean view was amazing and the location was perfect. We were very close to some really nice snorkelling places and it wasn't far from the Town of Lahaina. We would definitely stay here again when we visit Maui next time. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

The unit was very clean and was well stocked with everything we could possibly need. There is not a washer & dryer in the unit, but there is a laundry room right across from the elevator so it was no big deal. The view from the balcony more than made up for anything!

Kaanapali Shores in general is a beautiful place. It was extremely clean, and the employees were very friendly. There is a $9.00 a day parking charge, but that is pretty typical for anywhere in Hawaii. I honestly can't come up with a single negative about our stay other than the fact the toaster didn't work--but who cares? You're in Hawaii! Eat toast and bagels at home. :)

I would recommend this unit and Kaanapali Shores with no reservations. The property is exactly as described, and the owner provided very good customer service. The pools were just fine, as was the beach. We did not eat in the on-site restaurant, so I cannot comment on that. The location was very convenient to Whaler's Village and Front Street. You can easily walk to the little strip mall across the street. We did enjoy the little restaurant there, Soup to Nuts and Java Jazz. It was a cute little place with very good food. If you are buying a lot of groceries though, skip the Star Market and drive a little further to Safeway. It is a lot cheaper.

All in all, a great stay and we will definitely return someday.

We loved staying in this Penthouse unit! It is very tastefully decorated, and very comfortable. The views are beautiful. You can hear the ocean while while laying in bed! The resort it is part of has everything you would want to make it a great vacation. We definitely want to stay there again!
