Terrific Condo

I would highly recommend this place and location for a trip to the N. Shore of Kauai. This unit in the Plantation is not only perfect for a family w/ childeren but is also perfect for the couple that wants to get away by themselves. Location; perfect. Unit; immaculate. Complex; all of the above. Is great to be able to get fresh food at the local farmers markets, fish markets and cook yourself. Best thing is the small meals. You are not a slave to the "meals". Very amazing places w/ in a few short minutes from condo, so you can always go out, and come back in for a quick meal and a hot tub and back out you go. Very nice complex w/ work out rooms and of course the pool and hot tub. Really cannot say enough about the whole experience. Have been throughout the bahama's, Carribean, and even Kona and this was the highlight of our humble existance. Some places are sheer beauty, the N.Shore is absolutley magical. Please keep this place up as much as possible if you rent here, as the price and quality is top notch. Would be awesome to keep it that way.

I was pleasantly surprised that reality was much better than the pictures on the website. The place was very clean and quiet. It was furnished with everything that one would have in a regular home. Not knowing what we were going to face we actually brought a lot of accessories with us (e.g. snorkel gears) that we really did not need as the place came with everything you can think of to have a wonderful time at the beach. The whole transaction was very easy and we got our deposit back a few days after our departure. When (not if) we go back to Kauai we will stay there again.

This was our first time at this north shore property and won't be our last. It had all the amenities we could have imagined PLUS boogie boards and coolers. Beautiflly decorated, well maintained, very clean, spacious and only a short walk to the pool. The condo has air conditioning but there are ceiling fans in each of the rooms and wonderful trade winds to keep things cool. After a long day on the beach, you will enjoy sitting on the lanai. Patio set sits 4-6 comfortably. You can walk to the market for groceries, ice cream, pizza and some shopping but it is a long walk - we recommend a vehicle. We preferred the north shore beaches to the south but be ready to carry an umbrella with your snorkel gear.The property owner is wonderful to make your arrangements with - willing to do what he can to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I would recommend this property to anyone without hesitation.

My husband and I spent 9 nights in this condo in March of 2009. It is furnished beautifully with rich colors, good taste, and beauty all around. As soon as we walked in we felt lifted up by the decor. The layout is also very thoughtfully done and this condo "lives well", spacious , practical, and fun. The property was very clean and well maintained. The owner provided the best customer service I have ever had anywhere we travelled. He is reliable, ethical and trustworthy.
There is a feeling of luxury the condo, extra towels, very soft all cotton sheets, soft blankets, finer quality than is required yet much appreciated. The washer and dryer were a blessing. Also, many supplies are already there, dishwasher soap, spices, other basics.
Of course, the best of all is the location. Kauai is filled with such natural beauty that is almost overwhelming. We cannot wait to return and our first step will be to contact George and make a reservation for this condo.

Wow - was the key word we used all along as we discovered more and more about the condo and what items it had in the unit for us to use - from kitchen utensils to recreational gear for the beach.

The owner was responsive and helpful as we planned the trip. Including maps to get there and tips to make our flights less stressful

The place was clean, bright and spacious. I enjoyed the fact we did not face the pool which meant the place was nice and quiet.

We slept very well - had our kids in one room and we stayed in the lavish master suit and felt we had more than enough room to enjoy the kids and time alone.

Also a key benefit was the garage - as this side of the island is know for afternoon showers it was nice not to have to run from the car to the condo with little kids now and then.

Will stay again here - and will recommend to everyone I know interested in a great vacation - be sure to book in advance.

When we opened the door our jaws dropped. This place is absolutely georgous. The furniture alone will floor you. Wait till you see the style of curtains in this place. There are huge windows once you open the drapes. The lani is super roomy. Really nice cushions on all the chairs and lounger, and quite clean. The master bedrm is fabulous and the bathroom is huge, we just laughed walking thru this place. There's 3 flat screen TV's and 4 cordless phones here. The second bedroom is bigger than mine at home and beautiful colours for accent. Even the towels that are supplied are top notch, not just some frayed rag. The kitchen had everything we needed, was clean, and all the appliances work well. There is a storage closet with more things you might need, have a peek. There is a really good supply of beach stuff in the garage - chairs, boogie boards, fins, mats. etc. The carpet in this place looks and feels brand new. Trust me...any other condo you stay at after this one, you'll compare to George's place and wish you were back. George is a super guy to deal with, very willing to answer any questions or concerns you have, he sure made us feel at ease. We will be back, definately to stay here at George's again. A note to the chefs: down the hill going into Hanalei, the first place on your right - Dolphin Restaurant - there is a place at the back of the restaurant that sells fresh fish caught that day, better than the grocery store for sure. My friend and I flew the long way from Germany to Kauai and fell in love with the island - and the condo. It exceeded all our expectations, with its beautiful interior, great location and amazing size. The condo is perfectly equipped with anything you need and you will feel really special staying there - we can just recommend it!

This is an amazing condo. Stayed in condo for one week in January and will be returning as soon as possible. This condo was beautiful and fully stocked with abundant amenities. I could not recommend a condo any more than this. We feel so grateful to have stayed here and will be trying to rent from George on all of our future trips to Kauai.
If you stay at condo remember your bath bubbles for huge soaking tub. My 5 year old son loved having his own huge beautiful room with flat screen tv and loved the use of the boogie boards and sand toys. I loved the well equipped beautiful kitchen, wonderful bed, and porch area. We hosted dinner at our Condo two nights before we were married because we had the nicest and largest Condo out of all staying for wedding.
The property was wonderful as well. We all enjoyed the BBQ, spa, and pool.
Also, I would highly recommend eating at Postcards Cafe on any visit to the north shore and would discourage dining at the Saffron.
