Loved it here!
I was awestruck by the beauty, exclusiveness, and privacy that Seabrook Island offers. I was skeptical at first having never been in the Charleston area before, but I plan on returning each year from now on.
Seabrook Island is gorgeous -- lovely, well-maintained homes and communities. Everyone is friendly. The beach is wonderful. There were some families there each day, but we were able to find our own area (crowding is never an issue). The guard at the gate gave us an island map upon arrival and with it, we were able to get wherever we needed to go.
This condo is perfect! Clean, well-maintained and stocked with everything we could have needed (cookware, washer/dryer, towels, etc.). I stayed here with my two children (ages 10 and 15) and it was the perfect size for the three of us. The screened porch was my favorite spot - I enjoyed coffee and my book there each morning. The pool is very close by and is also very nice and well-kept. The owner of this property sent me a very detailed e-mail of information about the island and her favorite spots to shop, beach access, etc. which turned out to be so helpful to us. Additionally, she deposited my check exactly when she said she would.
We spent our days at the beach which I previously mentioned was wonderful. There was so much wildlife there - hermit crabs abound much to the pleasure of my 10 year old child. Each evening, we drove (20 minutes or so) into Charleston for dinner and activities. It wasn't a long drive at all and was well worth it. Downtown Charleston has so much to offer and is gorgeous beyond words.
The only thing that I disliked about the area was the local grocery store (I think it was called "Newton Farm" in the Freshfields Market center), which was *very expensive*, crowded, and not very well-stocked with items that I normally purchase at my home. The next time I visit, I will do my shopping at the Piggly Wiggly before I come onto the island.
Overall, I was so very pleased both with the owner of this property and the property itself. My children are already asking if we can go back!

Memorial Day 2013
We really enjoyed our stay and enjoyed working with the owner. We had a problem with the air conditioning freezing up one night and were without air for one night. Owner did seem concerned but offered a lunch for our troubles. A little disappointed, we should have been offered refund for that night. We figured out the problem with the air conditioning and got it working the next day. Still enjoyed Seabrook and the condo.

Perfect Anniversary Week
I agree with EVERY 5 star review posted here. I’ve rented at least 10 VRBO properties in the last few years and I have to say this is one of the best. It’s the perfect place for a quiet, cozy getaway. The location within Seabrook Island is great; it’s easy to get around and convenient to the entrance/exit to this private island. You are a very short walk to the pool and a quick ride to the bike path. My husband and I enjoyed several meals at the Bohicket Marina restaurants (after all, it was an anniversary celebration and I wasn’t cooking.) We even rode our bikes to the Freshfields Market Center and enjoyed coffee and window shopping.
Unfortunately, mid-March is not exactly beach friendly, so we didn’t get to spend much time enjoying the sun, sand, and surf. We did, however, spend a day in Charleston taking in the beautiful city, getting a history lesson, and visiting the Market. We visited the Charleston Tea Plantation, Fire Fly Distillery, Folly Beach, Edisto Beach, the Fire Truck museum, the Angel Oak, several unique restaurants, and even had the opportunity to ride our bikes on the beach at Kiawah Beachwalker Park.
This place has all of the comforts you would get at home and even though I didn’t do much cooking at the villa, it was well stocked with all the cookware and dishes one might need. I really enjoyed my hot tea (from the Tea Plantation) in the mornings on the deck, listening to and watching the wildlife wake up.
I also really enjoyed working with Tom on this rental. He was very patient, informative, and relaxed! Truly the best rental experience I’ve had. He even checked in with us the second day to make sure we had everything we needed and that the villa met our expectations. Kudos Tom!! I’ve never had an owner do that before…EVER. We are already planning the next trip to Seabrook Island and Tom’s villa. So exciting!!

Summer Getaway was Perfect!
What a wonderful 3 day stay my daughter and I had this past summer. The owners were very accommodating to fit us in at the last minute. Thanks to the good communications regarding the island and unit particulars, our few days here were just perfect. Several things that we really enjoyed were the comfort level of the unit and the nearby pool that we had to ourselves each day. Also, the beach chairs were a nice addition as we were able to lounge comfortably on several of the beautiful beaches. All in all, we could not have been happier with our accommodations and hope to return someday in the near future.

A Villa ALMOST as wonderful as the owners
I can't say enough about this charming villa! It's the perfect hideaway for a single or a couple with everything you need at your disposal. I loved it so much that I rented it again as a Christmas Gift! Tom is one of the nicest owners I've ever encountered and so accommodating - you will love working with him. I live in Charleston but now I have a GO TO VILLA for a STAY-CATION anytime I want a quick get away to beautiful Seabrook Island!

Great Villa!
Our stay on Seabrook Island was excellant, the villa we rented was just as listed and the pictures were right on target. The villa was very clean and well maintained. The owner was excellant and checked on us after we arrived to make sure everything was to our liking. I would recommend this property to my friends and family without hesitation and have already told many of our friends what a wonderful time we had on the Island

Convenient Location and wonderful amenities!!
We were very fortunate to lease this property the week of the PGA Championship this year and the location could not have been better! The space was perfect for myself, my husband, and teenage son. (He said the futon was extremely comfortable!). We were able to attend the PGA event at Kiawah Island at our leisure and dinner was a short bike ride away at the Bohicket Marina where Tiger Woods' yacht was moored. No need to leave the island and even with thousands of spectators here, we still felt like we were isolated from the crowds. The pool was beautiful and very private and most of the time, we were the only persons using it! I would recommend this property to a couple looking for a quiet getaway or for a small family looking for a great vacation spot. Much thanks to the Byrne family for making us feel welcome and we look forward to visiting again in the near future!

Relaxing

Perfect Getaway!
Even though it rained for the most part, perfect place to get away for 2 people. Condo is very comfy and pictures are accurate. Love the loft bedroom. Seabrook Island is beautiful. Tom is a pleasure to deal with. Can't wait to go back! Oh yeah, we are the end of this month (June 2012)! :)
