Clean and welcoming
We enjoyed our stay at the condo. I felt it was bigger than it looks in the pictures, plenty of room for our family. The bathrooms were big and clean. Being a first floor condo, we could occasionally hear the people upstairs walking around, but it was not bothersome. The community is very nice, we were able to enjoy the pool a few times, they even had a 4th of July party with lots of games for the kids which was a blast. Everything you might need is just a few minutes away, grocery stores, banks, liquor store, ice cream shop, and even a Fractured Prune (donut shop - yum!). The beaches are not far either, but getting there and back was quite a chore on what was probably the busiest weekend of the summer - one day we gave up on the beach after 45 minutes in the car and turned around to go back to the pool. Traffic and parking in town were the only negatives on this vacation.
Owner's Response: Thank you for the excellent rating.
I was told that there were over a record million people at the Delaware Beaches on the Fourth of July, from Lewes in the north to Fenwick Island in the south (where Delaware meets Maryland). The long, four-day holiday combined with a heat wave brought many more visitors.
I am often asked how long it takes to drive from the condo to the ocean. It all depends on the time of year and the time of day. On a week day in winter, or early in the morning in the summer, I can be at the ocean in less than 15 minutes. Plan to go to the beaches early or very late in the afternoon to have the best chance for good parking and a good place on the sand.
