Fun time all around.

My friends and I stayed at the house this past weekend. The house is beautiful and well taken care of. It was so nice to be able to make a pot of coffee, use the full size refrigerator and play records from the massive record collection. The home let us spend lots more time together and get to anywhere in Chicago. Great location, great atmosphere and great experience.

Great place for large groups

Our family of 9 adults stayed here in November and loved it. The living area is large enough that we could all sit together, the kitchen is fully stocked with things like bagels, hot & cold cereal, popcorn, ramen soup...all things that helped for snacks in a pinch and were our breakfast everyday. The beds were awesome and having 4 bathrooms were a huge help with so many of us. The location is great for Old Town. Second City is right around the corner. We would highly recommend it!

Me and my friends had a great time staying in what we have now dubbed, The Chicago Chateau. The place was very comfortable and convenient for my group of 10 that was in town for a sports competition. The location offered all the conveniences one could ever want: Subway and easy cab access, Great neighborhood restaurants, 24 hr Starbucks, and a drug store all within a block walking distance. And the house was close to the our sporting event venue at Montrose Beach Park.
Liz, the Owner, was very gracious. She had snacks and maps available for us and made sure we were well informed about the place and the neighborhood.
The house itself was great. Liz and her husband Mike have decorated the place with some awesome antique pieces that gave the place a very European vibe. The roof deck and sun room were great to come home to after a long day of playing sports. And the view of all iconic architectural buildings was awesome and picturesque.
I can go on about this place, but I say, Book it! You wont be disappointed. I have stayed in a few places using this site and by far, this one has been the best! And I definitely plan to book it again next year, as our event is an annual one.

AMAZING house in a great location!

We had a group of friends meet in Chicago to explore the city and check out Wrigley Field for a Cubs game. With most hotels in the city being sold out that particular weekend, we decided to rent this house for the weekend. The owners, Michael and Liz, were very hospitable. In fact, they even provided snacks for us!
While the pictures of this house here on VRBO are nice, it is much more impressive in person. From the moment that Michael walked us into the house, we knew that we had chose wisely. It is a beautiful and clean home with a ton of personality. Aside from the really cool decor, it had so much to offer . . . like an office upstairs with a computer (that had a high speed internet connection), a mini gym downstairs, a piano, tons of books, and a TV in nearly every room!
With the four bedrooms (each complete with a full bathroom and spacious walk-in closet), there was plenty of space for everyone. The rooftop deck was a great area for us to enjoy a beautiful afternoon and the living room was much bigger than expected. The house is within walking distance of several excellent bars/restaurants/comedy venues. And the train to Wrigley is also nearby! If our group makes another trip out to Chicago, we would definitely stay here again.

Great Luxury Townhome for a Family or Group

We stayed in Michael and Liz's spotless four bedroom townhome near the heart of Old Town, which was also very convenient to Lincoln Park. We walked all over Old Town and Lincoln Park and used cabs to go every place else. This elegant townhome has everything you need and is filled with books, magazines, music and interesting art and objects. The bedrooms are large, with comfortable beds and tons of pillows. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. There were several TV's but we didn't use them because we were too busy. There is also a small office in between the bedrooms on one floor. One amenity we really appreciated was that the kitchen was already stocked with everything you need for a light breakfast, including coffee, tea, milk, OJ, bagels, muffins. There was even a huge jar of oreos and microwave propcorn for a late night snack. The owners live next door, which was great because when we needed help with our WiFi, Liz appeared in about 60 seconds. They are not intrusive though. We will definitely be back and I give this my highest rating. I can't think of a single improvement. My only caution would be if you have elderly or handicapped guests because there are lots of stairs.

Great time for 4 couples

This property lived up to its photos. The furnishings were lovely and the rooms were well appointed! Liz & Mike were delightful and left information and recommendations for the nearby restaurants. We easily walked to the Mag Mile and Millenium Park; took the 'L' -just around the corner-to downtown. Parking could be an issue, but, we arrived at mid-day & had no problems with parking two cars on the street.The kitchen was well supplied and breakfast foods were enjoyed by all. We would chose to stay there again and would recommend it to our friends.

Look no further for a vacation rental home in Chicago! The location is right in Old Town, walking distance to the Lincoln Park, North Beach resturants, second city, supermarket, etc. The owners Liz and Mike are the best, thank you for making our stay so enjoyable. It has everything you want, 4br 4ba, private deck over looking the Chicago skyline and all, total privacy. If you want an experience like living as a Chicagoan in an awesome neighborhood, this is it. Don't worry if need to do all the touristy stuff Mag Mile, Loop, Bean, Navy Pier, etc... is just a short 3-5 stop train ride around the corner or a short taxi ride.

The Old Town Condo was a real treat! Our ladies weekend away turned out to be perfect with a perfect place to stay. We especially loved the deck with the view of the city. We would highly recommend staying here and would definitely come again!

Incredible stay in Old Town... Best of the BEST

An incredible property in an absolutely ideal location in Old Town. Michael and Liz are a pleasure to work with and made our stay as easy as can be. Michael and Liz are also a wealth of information and an absolute joy to be around. The house is even more impressive in person and has one of the best rooftop views you'll see of Chicago. The decorations are amazing and lots of fun to peruse... the same can be said for the record player and the terrific record collection. I hosted a group of 10 people and there was plenty of room for everyone and all rooms are top notch. I absolutely recommend it and look forward to staying there again.
