We had such a great time at the House we could have just stayed there and enjoyed our weekend getaway. Within walking distance are 2 beaches and our favorite snorkeling spot Kahalu'u Beach. With an amazing view of the Ocean from the wrap around lanai and your own private swimming pool we felt like we were ready to move in. They are pet friendly so we were able to bring our little dog and not have to worry about her at our house or have to have someone check on her. There is a full kitchen so we had a few meals on the lanai and at breakfast we watched at least 50 spinner dolphins going up the coast with a paddle boarder and we seen 2 whales. So we highly recommend a stay at this rental. Everyone was very kind and helpful if you need anything, we are planning our next getaway soon.

Nice home away from home! I enjoyed waking up and walking the lanai every morning.

This place had everything we needed; internet, AC in the master bedroom, liquid soap, shampoo, two pairs of flippers, lots of towels, free laundry downstairs and much more! The TV did not have a working remote and could use an upgrade (I can see that this might be a problem for some guest) but that did not bother us because we hung out in the lanai and enjoyed the view. The place was comfortable and close to everything. Kahalu'u Beach for some great snorkeling (.5 miles south) and Da Poke House for some local grinds just past White Sands Beach (1 mile to the north).

Tips:
1. You will have to clean up the place a little but as long as you are clean then it's no problem.
2. You have to stay on the top floor for the view.
3. Be nice to the locals.

It was a great location and the view was impeccable. The owner was attentive to our needs. His personal assistants helped whenever there was an issue. It was an accurate descriptions. The price was perfect for our budget. I would definitely go back to the condo again. The sofa sleeper was lumpy but hey we were in Hawaii..Who cares!

This place is gorgeous! Me and my family loved it! The place is spacious, beautiful and has the most wonderful lanai with wonderful ocean view. I could just sit there and be happy!

Kitchen is very big and well equipped, you have a covered parking for your car, washing machine, small pool if you just want to take a dip.The ocean is close and the bedrooms are both spacious and have a bathroom each.

Wow, what a fabulous place!!

We received detailed instructions from the owner and found the place with no trouble. His assistant got us settled in and answered all our questions. The place was huge!! The view was amazing and the condo is close to 2 fabulous beaches, great shopping and places to eat. 3 days was not enough to enjoy the Big Island and we will be bac as soon as possible. The condo had everything we needed and more, chairs, coolers, mats and snorkel stuff for the beach. Loads of towels, bedding and kitchen equipment. The internet access was great and helped us organize some more trips.

Thanks for a great rental experience. Bill was super helpful and accommodating in expediting the process. The condo was light, airy and perfect for what we needed. The Magic Sands beach super close for relaxing and other beaches for surf lessons and other water activities less than a mile further towards town. Loved that it was away from the fray yet close enough for access to everything. The views are spectacular, we were able to see the dolphins from our lanai :-)
Huggos on the beach and Huggos Restaurant were both fun and offered fine dining respectively, of course Lava Java is a must but having meals at home made it a choice not a necessity.
Can't say enough good things about our stay. I brought my Dad over for his first trip to Hawaii and he went home with glowing reviews also

We just stayed in the Kona Mara rental and could not have asked for better accommodations, location, amenities and the VIEW!! The owner has done a wonderful job of accurately depicting the rental and the photos are exactly what you will see when you walk in. We had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a huge living area and everything in the kitchen we needed to cook. The lanai wraps the rental so you can see the sun come up over the mountain in the east, and enjoy the breathtaking sunset view from the west. Bill, the owner, was available by phone/text at all times and such a wonderful host. One of the best white sand beaches is walking distance and all of the best restaurants are 4 miles away (we especially liked Lava Java for breakfast, lunch and dinner). Huggos and Jackie Ray's were also very good There's also a really good grocery store only 5 minutes away. Went to Hawi for ziplining with Big Island Eco Adventures - incredible! We truly enjoyed our 7 days vacation in Kona. The apt is great, very spacious and has everything you need: towels, kitchen equipment, etc. It is right across from the ocean and the view is great! We have traveled a lot around the island during our trip so basically only slept in the apt - no need for a pricey resort room..i also liked the fact that the owner had a proper contract and was very prompt with emails.
