Great place to stay - close to beaches and Newport

My family and I (4 in total) had a super time in this lovely cottage. The facilities and location were ideal, and the owner provided a real Rhode Island welcome: she left wine and flowers for our arrival and popped over the next day to ensure we were comfortable. The cottage is clearly newly renovated, and well-maintained. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived, and the rooms wer cosy and compact in that wonderful New England way. Indeed, everything we needed was provided.
The garden is huge, well-kept and a real sun-trap.
All the facilities of Newport are a short 10 minute drive away...while the 3 beaches are perhaps 3-5 minutes by car. Shopping and restaurants (with free parking!) in Muddletown and also very, very convenient. We also visited lots of towns around the area, and went further afield to Povidence (very accessible by car - or by ferry from Newport - and worth visiting to see the historic buildings and the fabulous unsupported dome of the State House)
We had a really great time staying at the cottage - and I said as much in the Visitors' Book. I have already recommended it to friends.
