Paradise in Colorado

Rob and Donna San Francisco, CA
Review Submitted: July 17, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
What a wonderful place to visit!

Our annual family reunion brought us to Colorado this year and it was one of the best ever. There were about 35 of us from across the country this year (of course we didn't all stay at Trout Creek).

The home was everything one could ask for - and more. From the initial contact with the owners and throughout the stay everything was just perfect. The house is equipped with everything you need. And the views and wildlife are amazing. So many things to do in the area I wished we could have stayed another week.

If you are looking for an amazing part of Colorado to visit and need a beautiful warm home to stay in while you are there then this is the place!!

Exceeded All of Our Expectations!

We used this home for a family reunion during the Christmas holidays and it was the perfect choice. There were eight of us and we thoroughly enjoyed the house, the location, and all of the amenities. The owners were excellent hosts and seemed to anticipate our every need. The house is amazing. So beautiful and so secluded while close to town and all of the activities we wanted to do. The entire house is very tastefully decorated with attention given to every detail. The unique layout of the house gives each couple privacy but also provides opportunities to sit all together for meals or just to relax by the fire. There are windows everywhere to capture the beauty of the surroundings. We would not only highly recommend this property to our friends, we would rent it again in a heartbeat for any time of the year and for any occasion. We travel around the country a great deal and we've stayed at some lovely hotels and rented some beautiful homes but this was by far the best value, the most accommodating, and the overall best experience we've ever had with a rental.

Perfect Family Vacation Destination

Mama Biff Wichita, KS
Review Submitted: December 16, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008
Our family of 8 immensely enjoyed Trout Creek' s accomodations in June-July 2008. Pam and David, Owners, are hospitable, organized, and provide a vacation home worth coming back to time and time again. The beauty of the area is breathtaking. The expert layout of the home is absolutely perfect for a large family. The accomodations are superb, from beds to bathrooms to fireplaces to kitchen to laundry facilities to outdoor patio/walking areas. Trout Creek is definitely a home we will reserve again at a future time.

Exquisite house and fabulous location

What a treat. A house where the description isn’t just too how it actually is. We (2 children and 4 adults) spend a week there in July 2008 where we enjoyed the house and the surroundings.

The house has a super location in the midst of the nature with the creek making the final touch. And yet close to Colorado Springs and scenic sites nearby.

We can highly recommend the villa and look forward to coming back in the nearest future.

Trout Creek Home

Mike & Lynn Westerville, Ohio
Review Submitted: November 17, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
Our family of 8 spent a wonderful week at Trout Creek in July 2008. This lovely home is a perfect, relaxing getaway for enjoying time together in between visits to the many tourist attractions in nearby Colorado Springs and the surrounding area. It exceeded our expectations! The owners were very hospitable and helpful in providing tips for how to maximize the visit. We were able to enjoy excursions to the Garden of the Gods, the summit of Pikes Peak, the Flying W Ranch chuckwagon dinner (make sure you get there at 5:00 to get the most out of the time!), whitewater rafting with the Echo Canyon Company, and we took advantage of the many tours in Colorado Springs (the US Olympic Training Center, Focus on the Family, and the US Air Force Academy were our favorites). In addition, we highly recommend the early morning horseback breakfast ride at Triple B Ranch (just down the road from Trout Creek). The owners are extremely hospitable, the viewis of Pikes Peak on horseback are awesome, and the grub is good too! All in all, we would highly recommend a stay at Trout Creek!!

Great family vacation

Hotczech Houston, TX
Review Submitted: November 13, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2008
In August 2008 three generations gathered for the perfect getaway. We loved the home and it felt like a home. There is a lot of room for everyone, inside and outside. The outside patios have great views of the valley. The bedrooms are large and comfortable and the bathrooms are luxurious. We all enjoyed the fire pit outside, enjoying smores most nights. We enjoyed the wildlife, spotting fox, coyote, bear, elk and mule deer. There are so many activites in the area for all ages. We enjoyed the North Pole, train to Pikes Peak, shopping in Manitou Springs and Old Colorado City, Cheyenne Zoo, biking down from Pikes Peak, lunch at the Broadmoor, and great hiking. We have already booked for 2009.

Senior class trip, Fort Scott, KS

Review Submitted: November 13, 2008 Date of Stay: April 2008
We used the home for headquaters for a Christian school senior class trip. The students loved the home and were content to spend a lot of time at the home exploring and playing games. The home is close to many different attractions. The home is also large enough for a small group (8) to each have some space. Everyone loved the home and would use it again. The home was very well maintained and the service was great.
