Our stay was a great family getaway for a variety of people. Couples, newly weds, cousins, sons and daughters 10 of us in all had great stay here. The house was roomy, cozy, homey, you name it we loved it. The only suggestion was a bigger hot tub, it was awesome sitting in the tub with snow falling on your head, we just couldn't all fit, oh well.. The setting and the view was great. Sandy was very helpful on the phone even when I got the day we were supposed to leave wrong, my bad. We will definately come back to Taos and stay here. Thanks for sharing your lovely house. We used the house for side trips, nightly astrophotography, dining out and evening conversation.
In our 8 day stay we visited: Taos Ski Valley – 3/5, Rio Grande Gorge – 3/5 & Bandelier National Monument – 4/5, Cimarron Canyon – 5/5 (Thunder, rain and sleet – very fun- really), Cumbers & Toltec Railroad – 5/5, Taos Pueblo – 3/5 & Fechin House – 3/5. Taos Cow Ice Cream was a great stop in nearby charming Arroyo Seco.
For Astrophotography my husband set up on the deck; this was terrific because there was plenty of space and it was a short walk to the leather chair in the living room where he could run the scope from his computer while conversing with the group and having a glass of wine. The Darkness was 21.4 with clear skies every night. He got two great pictures.
The internet connection was good and the wireless connection solid (we had 5 computers running).
For our birders: we finally got a good look at a group of Pinyon Jays who did a fly-by several times during the day. We also saw a Juniper Titmouse, Townsend’s Solitaire, Red Tail Hawk, Belted Kingfisher (down by the creek) and Virginia’s Warbler without even leaving the deck.

My family and I met here for our family reunion. The house was beautifully decorated and the rooms were perfect. The younger kids LOVED the upstairs loft with all the twin beds and "their own TV." We enjoyed some hikes around the property, golfing, shopping, and lots of time at the house playing games or watching movies. We were able to cook our own meals at the house as well as enjoy some grilling on the deck. The view from the deck was amazing! Overall our stay was just what we wanted. Our one surprise was to find that only one person in the family had cell service and that was out on the upstairs deck. In the end it was actually nice to have everyone present in all the activities because no one was checking their phone :)

The house was great with easy access to both town and the ski area and a beautiful view of the valley. Clean and comfortable with responsive owners. The open kitchen was nice for making meals together. We read in a review that the movie selection was great for kids, but not for little kids so if you've got young ones, bring your own movies or better yet send 'em outside to play in the snow. The hot tub was a bit cloudy when we got there, but there was a good "renters binder" with information including hot tub care and we treated the tub with the chemicals provided and that helped some. Overall a great experience.

THIS PLACE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN ANY BETTER. MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS WERE ALL IMPRESSED WITH EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS HOUSE AND LOCATION. WE HAD SUCH A GREAT TIME IN THE SNOW AND THE SKI VALLEY WAS GORGEOUS. I APPRECIATE THE WELLS FAMILY FOR GIVING US THE OPPORTUNITY TO STAY AT THIS HOME, WE WILL DEFINENTLY HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN. ONCE AGAIN THANKS TO THE WELLS FAMILY!!!

Loved the house and beautiful Taos. The house was clean and had everything needed. Plenty of room for the 10 of us that stayed there. The property was neat and clean, hot tub clean and "hot". Beautiful views from the back deck. I would recommend this to anyone. I do need to comment on the fact that no where in the listing of even in the contract I signed does it state a "standard check in time of 3:00". Luckily the owner and caretaker were flexible when we asked to have access to the property earlier than that. Hope to spend another memorable holiday in Taos one day soon!

This was a perfect vacation with our family. We were able to enjoy hiking around the property, the beautiful views from the deck, and the gentle rain which blew across the mountains. Especially nice was the quiet stillness in the early morning where we enjoyed our morning coffee and reading. Our family members went whitewater rafting, mountain biking, and a game of golf while the ladies enjoyed the shopping trips to Arroyo Seco and a day at a Spa. The home was extremely comfortable and attractively decorated. Kitchen was well-stocked with all you would need to cook some great meals. One highlight was viewing a beautiful double rainbow one afternoon after a nice rain came through. We loved it - just what we needed.
