Breck Ski House : Log Cabin Vacation Home - A large, three bedroom/two bath log Colorado home located only three miles (5 minutes) from Breckenridge, CO. Over 2,500 square feet of living space. It is secluded, nestled in the woods, and backs to National Forest. It has a private outside hot tub on a large wrap-around deck. The cabin sleeps up to eight. One bedroom (with a single bed & a bunk bed with a twin on the top/full on the bottom), a full bath, a living room (with a futon), a dining room and a full kitchen (completely equipped) are on the Main Floor. Two bedrooms (one with queen bed, the other with two queen beds) and a full bath are on the Upstairs Level. A recreation room (with a Foosball table, medium-size air hockey table, darts, lots of books/games/toys/videos and a sofa bed) and a new laundry room are on the Lower Level. CHANGES IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS: Outside, we replaced the roof/ garage door/ hot tub/ charcoal grill and added a gas grill. Upstairs, we replaced all the lighting fixtures and re-tiled & re-decorated the bathroom. On the main floor, we added a new additional sofa, replaced the bunk beds, re-tiled the entry/ kitchen/ dining room, and added WiFi. As you can see, the cabin is kept in excellent condition!
Dave is an avid skier (learned at school in Switzerland). I don't possess his ability but do enjoy the blue & green slopes. Like most children, our son Ryan took to the slopes with no fear. Dave loves the outdoors, he usually spends his time outside rather than inside. Although I enjoy the outdoors, I can usually be found inside involved with art, design, decorating and charity work (usually involving children). Ryan just completed college & is an auto enthusiast.
We chose Breckenridge, CO because besides the main event, skiing, there are a lot of other things to do both in winter & summer. Breckenridge has something for everyone. We chose the location of the cabin because we wanted a property 5-10 mins. from town & the slopes, one that was wooded, had mountain views, privacy, and backed up to National Forest. When we found the cabin it was love at first sight. We could just picture ourselves cozying up in front of the wood-burning fireplace.
