My husband & I just finished up a week in this lovely condo. It is a beautiful & quiet setting. Had my coffee every morning in the screened porch. Very well appointed and the owner was terrific. Easy to work with. Has all the basics (i.e., dish soap, TP, paper towels, etc) to get your vacation started. Great place to take long walks. The drive to the beach takes all of 6 or 7 minutes and is uncrowded and almost pristine. Multiple restaraunts are just within minutes. We would most definitely stay here again.
Owner's Response: I am glad you had such a nice time. It doesn't take long too just sit down and relax there. There is so much more to experience in the area. I will be glad to help you make a new list of things to do on your next visit.
Thanks
Jim

Southern Hospitality

My wife and I enjoyed our month stay at your spacious villa on Pawley's Plantation.
The living room area with the open floor plan and a great view of the fairway and tee box was an added bonus. The beautiful 400 yr old Live Oak Tree is magnificent! The bedrooms, closets, bathrooms and kitchen/dining area provided us with a comfortable living area. Since I am a golf fan it was fun to watch the players tee off on the fairway from the living room or the screened in porch.

While I played golf at the Founders Club nearby my wife had a chance to explore the area. She loves photography and found many photo opportunities at Pawley's Island Beach, the marsh area near the ocean and along the walkways and ponds in Pawley's Plantation.

Georgetown, a small town nearby, makes a wonderful day trip. It is full of history, beautifully restored older homes, shops, restaurants, a museum, and a waterfront walkway.

Be sure to visit Brookgreen gardens a National Historic Landmark( about six miles away). An admission ticket is good for seven days. What a bargain! The garden opened in 1931 as America's first public sculpture garden. There are over 50 acres, with something for everyone. The allee of Live Oak Trees dripping with Spanish Moss will be impossible to forget. Stop for lunch at the Pavillion Restaurant. It is know for She Crab soup and wait till you see the desserts, delicious!

After a busy day it was always nice to go back home to sit, relax and enjoy a good book or watch television in our comfortable, quiet home.

We would like to thank the owner for his kindness and concern during our vacation and for making our stay memorable. We highly recommend your villa for those looking for a great stay at Pawley's Plantation and the meaning of the words, Southern Hospitality!

We enjoyed a long weekend at this beautiful condo and it was such an enjoyable experience. The villa is spacious with all the amenities of home. The kitchen is exceptional with everything you could ever want or need and the porch is our favorite place early in the morning and also at night. It was so quiet and relaxing and in such a beautiful setting. The villa is decorated beautifully and I especially loved the huge bathrooms! We enjoyed picking up shells on the beach and some early Christmas shopping and we will certainly return! Jim was such a pleasure and so helpful and informative. We feel as though we made a new friend......

Great week at the beach

If you are looking for a somewhat quieter beach vacation than Myrtle Beach, this is the place for you. Our family of four spent a week here and had a great time. The villa has plenty of room for everyone with a well-equipped kitchen for cooking meals when you don’t feel like going out. Roadside produce stands provided fresh homegrown fruits and vegetables (peaches, corn, tomatoes, blueberries etc.). If you enjoy Thai food, we had a superb meal at the Blue Elephant in Murrells Inlet. There are only a dozen tables, so call for reservations and its cash/check only—no credit cards. We took a morning trip to Georgetown, 15 minutes south of Pawleys, strolled their waterfront shops and art galleries and had lunch at the historic Thomas Café (order the crabcakes!). Pawleys Island beach is a short drive over a causeway with plenty of public access and was not very crowded. We also spent one day on the sands at Huntington Beach State Park, about 15 minutes up the road. On the advice of the ranger we headed for the north end of the beach; the walk from the parking lot is a little longer than the south beach but we practically had the place to ourselves! There are plenty of beach chairs on hand at the villa and a large beach umbrella. At the end of the day, we parents relaxed out on the screen porch with a glass of wine. It’s a lovely home, very clean, and we would definitely recommend it to others. Thanks Jim for a great beach getaway!
Owner's Response: Thanks, for your kind comments about our home. You have a nack for finding the most relaxing spots. There are dozens of restrurants but thanks pointing out one of the good ones. I hope you come back and explorer more of what the area has to offer. Even though I've been going there for 12 years - nice people like you always point out places I've never been too. This Info keeps my trips there new and interesting.

Long stay review

Well what can we say, We came for the week and ended up staying 6 weeks.. What a beautiful home, everything you could ask for in a home from home. Clean, bright and very spacious. Just loved the wall painting of the 13th hole..This home was simply the perfect place to stay, the screened patio with the door out to the 12th tee box, just perfect to have your coffee in hand and just stroll out to see how the golfers are approaching this hole.. The gated entrance makes this a perfect place for all the family, safe secure with no worries. There are two pools within walking distance, the club house is just minutes away, the Palmetto bar is perfect for lunch or evening meal prices are very reasonable.. There are 4 golf courses within 5 minutes and another 4 within 10 minutes. So your will be spoilted for choice, some of the best golf in SC. for sure.. The beach is only a 3 minute drive away, beautiful quiet sandy beach. As for places to eat there are plenty of them from the nice refined places like Louis's or Austins. to the family places like La playa mexican, there is even the new Sonic drive in for the kids favourite ice cream.. This home is sure to be a place you will want to come back to year after year. The owner is so friendly and helpful he becomes more like one of your best friends.. This was truly a fantastic place to stay, the kind of vacation that no matter how long the stay, a weekend or a winter away just feels so relaxing you will be sad to leave..
Owner's Response: Thanks, for your kind comments. I am glad I could help in any way to make your stay a memorable one. Looking forward too when are paths can cross again.

Great Vacation Spot

colWC West Chester, PA
Review Submitted: December 27, 2007 Date of Stay: July 2007
This townhouse had everything we needed. Two families with 5 small children and we never felt on top of one another. We had plenty of space. The house was beautifully decorated and conveniently stocked with the things we needed. There was also plenty to do in the area for all of us - the husbands golfed, the wives shopped and the kids enjoyed the pool & beach day & night. The beaches were very close and easy to get to and beautiful. Our kids are used to the Jersey shore and said they liked it better in Pawley's! The pool was a HUGE bonus - only a few feet from the door and it was never crowded - we were the only ones using it some days. We even took bikes and rode around the development. Definatley a fabulous vacation. Can't wait to book for next year - we've decided to make it an annual vacation!
Owner's Response: Thanks, It is a pleasant reward, making new friends while rent our home. That's exactly how I feel about the area. My favorite, early morning bike rides to the beach and being the only one in the ocean. Words do not decribe it enough.

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Pawley's Plantation. We were actually in the area to attend a wedding in Georgetown, S.C., conveniently located near this condo. This unit is very spacious with large bedrooms and baths and a beautiful living area with views of the golf course. The kitchen has everything you need and the dining room opens to a nice screened porch area. You can relax on the porch, watch the golfers and listen to the birds--very nice and peaceful. The pool is close by and this is a great place to ride bikes, walk or golf! Lots of things to do!!
We entertained the bride at a bridal luncheon held at Bistro 217, a quaint resturant located at 10707 Ocean Highway in Pawley's, near the condo. The food and service was very good and the atmosphere fun! This condo was great and we had a wonderful weekend. You will find the owner to be exceptionally nice, accommodating and dependable. I highly recommend this condo!!
