What a wonderful home and setting. The house is beautiful with everything that we could need! The lake is so beautiful and peaceful. We all were so happy that we stayed here and will be making it our annual vacation spot. All the nice personal touches were greatly appreciated. The homeowner's are wonderful and made every effort possible to accommodate everyone. Thank you so much Kurt & Tammy, we will be back!
Owner's Response: Thank you so much for the wonderful comments. We really do try hard to make everything perfect. We will see you next summer! Kurt & Tammy

High Lake Hideaway

What a gorgeous home on a peaceful, beautiful lake surrounded by trees! It was very clean and well-maintained. The layout of the house allowed our group of 14 plenty of space. It was a short drive to grocery stores and downtown Traverse City. My sons enjoyed fishing off of the dock and were able to catch plenty of fish. We also enjoyed walking to the park to play on the playground or play basketball and had fun taking the paddle boat to the store across the lake. I would recommend this house to anyone! It was perfect!
Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your great comments! We are so glad that you enjoyed the house and the area, it is a very peaceful place. We hope that you will visit again.

Dear Kurt and Tammy,
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. The layout of the house afforded privacy to all, while still offering lot's of space for friends to gather for meals, games and laughter. The convenience to Traverse City, made it the perfect spot to stay. The Fall colors were gorgeous, and the backdrop of the lake was serene and beautiful. We would definitely recommend your home to anyone visiting the Traverse City area. Thanks Again!

We all loved the house. We came for our 8th annual girls weekend and this house was so worth the drive and the $$. There was so much room to roam. Even though the weather was not so nice we still had a great time! Thank you Kurt for stopping in and welcoming us and thank you to Tammy for the welcome card and the bottles of wine. It was the nicest gift we have ever received from a house we have rented. Those little things mean a lot. The bath and body works soap in each bathroom was a great hit. Thanks again for everything!!
Owner's Response: To the Bay City Bad Girls,
Thank you for your nice comments and we are so glad you had a great time!

Our family has been enjoying family vacations for many years and we have stayed at many places in Michigan. This has been one of the most beautiful and user friendly places we have visited. The owners were so accomadating and helpful. One of the favorite activities of the grandchildren was the water trampoline and rowing across the lake to the well equiped party store. The lake and little beach was perfect for the little ones to enjoy and feel safe. Walks and runs around the lake was a daily activity for the adults as we were walking off all the great meals we cooked on the weber grill. I only hesitated to write this because we want to make sure we get our week next year.
Owner's Response: Thank you Del & Mary - we look forward to your visit in August 2009!

Wonderful time, plenty of room

We traveled with four families and children and had plenty of room. Everything was clean and exactly as described. The location was closer to Traverse City than I had expected, but still had the "hide-away" feel. We found that everything we needed was provided which made for an even more comfortable stay. I would highly recommend this vacation home!

We've stayed in many summer cottages, this was the
best! Very comfortable, plenty of room, and so much
to do....both at the cottage and in the Traverse
City/Leelanau Penninsula area. We highly recommend
this summer vacation home. Can't wait to go back!
Owner's Response: Thank you Katy for your nice comments. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and thank you for the great shape you left the house. We look forward to having you back!

Wonderful Vacation

We had a wonderful time at Highlake Hide-away. The home was exactly as described. The property is large with plenty of room for running and exploring. My daughter loved chasing the chipmunks. High Lake is not a large lake, but we only saw on boat the whole week that was moving fast enough to make a wake. You are allowed to ski/tube/wakeboard, we just did not see anyone doing it. Great fire pit by the lake and a wonderful deck for sitting out and enjoying an outdoor meal. I highly recommend this home to anyone traveling with a large group. It would be perfect for two large families or several small families looking to vacation together.
Owner's Response: We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at the High Lake Hideaway! It is a great property that we personally love and are very happy to hear that others loved it as well. We were happy to have you as our guests.

Our family had a great time, and look forward to having many more there. Thank you for such a clean place. Those are great trails we snowmobiled on. It's hard to believe that you can get to Lake Michigan or Lake Huron from your place, even Mackinaw, wow. Those State Trails are really nice.
Thanks Again,

Neale
