This house was exactly what we needed to meet our accommodations! Very clean, plenty of room for sleeping and to sit and visit. We enjoyed the lake and bon fire pit. House is not far away from town or the grocery store. The owner was very kind and personable. I will definitely stay at this house again and recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing get away with a big family or group of friends.

The house is very nice and acommodated all 12 of us nicely. Love the big dining area, so we could all eat together at meals. Description was accurate, property is clean and well maintained. This is the 3rd time I've stayed here for a girl friend week-end and we always have a great time. Ten minutes from Traverse City and a ton of things for all to do. I'll be back:)

Great weekend getaway to go "whining". The house was perfect for our group of 10. We each had our own bedrooms which was great! Very nice set up in the house - the best part of all were the owners. Kurt and Tammy - they really listen to what you have to say and want to make everything perfect. It will be our choice in the future for a place to getaway! Thanks1

This was a great place to stay. The owners couldn't have been nicer. They stopped by on our first night to make sure we got settled in OK and to see if we had any questions. The house was beautiful and very clean and accommodated our group of 10 with room to spare. The location is central to everything we wanted to do. We will definitely be back next year!

Our group found the High Lake Hideaway to be a very nice place to spend several days together. My wife and 2 the other couples who joined us have traveled together to various Michigan locations, New Mexico, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alaska and Hawaii together and felt that the High Lake Hideaway (HLHA) was one the best that we have stayed at. The pictures on the site look great on the WEB site, in reality the place is nicer. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. One person even commented we need to come back when it is a little warmer so we can enjoy the use of the Lake, it was just a little chilly in late September for us older folks. It was our Home away form home while we Golfed, shopped, visited friends, and visited several Wineries (our group took home 3+ cases of wine). For this trip we prepared several great meals the the HLHA, the Apache Trout Grill is our favorite restaurant in TC, and there are several other great places to eat downtown. We did take advantage of the fire pit and had a very enjoyable “camp fire” 2 of the 4 night we were there. We all enjoyed sharing golf/ fishing and family stories. The owners HLHA were very friendly and easy to deal with and they take customer service seriously, paying attention to even the little things. We would definitely recommend the HLHA to our friends and family.

Very nice quiet inland lake. The house was accurately described and the photos were spot-on. We had beautiful weather which enabled us to enjoy the private beach, water trampoline and dock. The owners were friendly, considerate and accommodating. They keep the house and property well cleaned. We would recommend this house to families looking for a water-filled and private fun time at the top-of-the-mitten.

Our family all gave me a big thumbs up for finding the perfect location and house for our family vacation. This home was perfect for family of 7 children and 8 adults. The cousins all had wonderful bonding experiences on the trampoline, kayaks, paddle boat and the new row boat that Kurt delivered on our first day.. Whenever we would plan our day trips kids always anxious to get back to fish and swim.
