This house is everything we could have wished for. We just returned from a 7 day vacation, and I don't think I could ever stay in a hotel again after the great experience we had in this house. We had 6 people total in this house, and more than enough room for everyone. The deck was beautiful, we had coffee outside in the morning and cocktails and dinner at night. It was reasonable driving distance to all of our activities. Fully furnished, beyond what I hoped for. It was like visiting a friend and staying in their home. Erin was most helpful, both before and during the vacation. I would HIGHLY recommend this house to anyone, esp those who want a true vacation away from the city and the hussle and bussle of Waikiki. (Nice to visit, but too busy to stay in my opinion!). Staying at the house was restful, fun, a new experience that I can't wait to repeat! thanks again Erin!

Aloha Erin,
Just returned from a two week stay at your pupukea residence, what a lovely home, property and location! The comments from others in your guest book don't begin to do justice to this place. My party of 6, all adults, felt truly at home and comfortable. It was nearly impossible to get them down the hill and see some of Oahu. We grilled on the deck nightly, watched fabulous sunsets, relaxed under a canopy of brilliant stars each evening and really felt no need to go anywhere else.
Once i got them motivated we didn't have to go far to see some of the best of Oahu, world class diving and snokeling at three tables and shark's cove (not a shark to be found for those concerned). Waimea beach not five minutes away and what could be better than jumping off of "jump rock" at waimea? If it's surf season on north shore then pipeline, sunset and waimea are surf destinations known worlwide. Terrific hiking and bird watching just up the hill amongst the Koolau Mountain range or down in Waimea Valley. I could go on and on but don't want to sound like a tourist guide book. Suffice to say that those looking for a unique experience offering all the comforts of home but set in a tropical paradise need look no further and downtown honolulu is but a short drive away.
I am delighted to have found and rented your home and dealing with you was a no-hassle experience.
I guess the best comment to add is that should i return to Oahu I would stay here again without a second thought.
you've put me off hotels forever!
Mahalo from me and my clan.

We rented Erin's home for the entire month. From
the moment I first emailed her she was extremely
helpful. Her house is so spectacular. I let my kids
pick which home we rented and from the moment
we stepped in the door we felt comfortable. We had
great times with great views, and an awesome back
yard. She has a hammock that we have enjoyed and
all the beach essentials. Erin went out of her way to
make sure we were taken care of, she allowed us to
use her surfboards and bikes. She was very
responsive to every email, call I made. We love the
house so, much we decided to relocate to Hawaii.
Thank you VERY MUCH! Had Erin wanted we would
have stayed here for a year. GREAT HOME!

My family LOVED spending Spring Break at this restful, beautiful home. My husband and I had six young people ages 19-23 with us. The house was a great fit for eight! The large, shady yard and quiet, rustic neighborhood encouraged us to walk, to rest, and to relax. Yet the call of surfing in Haleiwa and snorkeling at Waimea Bay were hard to resist. We enjoyed the freedom of preparing our own meals, and ate dinner on the cool, breezy porch every evening. The ample great room allowed us to be together while reading, playing games, and utilizing the high-speed internet connection. The open, airy feel of the house gave us an unforgettable tropical experience. We felt like we had a genuinely Hawaiian experience, without the commercialism and crowds. We would heartily recommend this home to anyone dreaming of a relaxing family vacation on Oahu.

The sunsets, the outside dining with tiki torches, the banana trees with cute, sweet fruit, the comfy beds, modern TVs, wireless internet - all the special touches that you want at home were found at the Pupukea house. Combine that with this wonderful area on the North Shore and it's a winning combination. We can't wait to plan another trip here.

A slice of heaven!!! You will fall in love with this home and the North Shore. I have been coming to Hawaii for years, and have been to every island (almost) and stayed at five star resorts, but never have I experienced the feeling you get when staying on the North Shore at this incredible property. It's so peaceful and beautiful. We sat out on the deck every morning looking at the ocean, listening to the trade winds in the trees and gardens that surround the property enjoying our coffee, and planning our day. The location is perfect! So close to all the great beaches and my favorite, Waimea Bay. We have been to this home twice now and both times in the summer, so the ocaen is quite calm then.Turtle beach is just down the road where we touched and swam with so many turtles. Amazing! In the evening we sat outside and had dinner, and just relaxed with a glass of wine and some great music. Although restaurants were close by and we did venture out, we really just wanted to stay at our home away from home. The house has everything you need, and is furnished in such good taste. It's gorgeous! This home exceeded our expectations. I was aprehensive about not being right on the beach, but now I'd never stay anywhere else. Once you go, I think you'll agree. I can't wait until August when we return.
Thanks "Sweet Home Pupukea" for all our wonderful times. Aloha...Julie Merlino, San Clemente CA
