great for conferences

Review Submitted: October 27, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
We came for a conference and this is the first time we have used home away.com. In a word the condo was great. As we travel extensively, we have seen our share of pretty photos which do not correspond to the actual property. This is not the case here. The condo was clean, well maintained, comfortable and secure. It is located 2 blocks from a Metro station and has many restaurants that are within walking distance. It was a 15 minute walk to the convention center and a short walk to many DC attractions. I would recomend this listing to anyone who is visiting the area. Ben was helpful and provided excellent instructions.
Owner's Response: Dear C.,

We're Glad to hear you enjoyed your visit and found our property to be worthy of good note. This is helpful to future guest who want to choose our property over the next. To show appreciation to our return guest, we gladly offer a discount off of the current advertised rate on all future visits with us.

All the best,

Ben

Great Location! Clean and modern space, good price

My husband and I stayed in this condo last weekend and couldn't be happier. The condo was easy walking distance from the McPherson Square Metro stop. Convenient location for visiting the White House and museums on the Mall. Clean and comfortable space for 2 (or 4 if you use the futon available). Owner's instructions were straight forward and helpful. Already referred the spot to some neighbors. Will definitely return when visiting DC again. Thanks

We stayed in the studio for 3 nights. We were so comfortable in this wonderful apt. It is very central to everything that DC has to offer and we would highly recommend it to anyone who is traveling to the DC area.

Wonderful Location and Apartment

Review Submitted: August 23, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
The apartment was clean, large and well stocked with towels and linens. We also like the washer and dryer, which are very convenient and quiet. It's in a beautiful luxury apartment building and the furniture is new. You'll be very close to the White House, Whole Foods and the Circulator Bus that can take you anywhere. There are several parking garages within walking distance

The only small problems were that the bathroom door was hard to close and that the divider between the bed and the kitchen needed to be reset.

Our party had both 55+ and children and everyone loved it. We highly recommend it!

My husband and I along with our 2 ten year old boys just came back from vacation and absolutely LOVED the condo. It was extremely clean and I am very particular! It was nice to have the beautiful kitchen to cook breakfast and dinner in too. It was super close to all the sights for walking or the Metro, if you felt like taking that. The experience was fantastic and Ben was wonderful and easy to work with. Thank you so much!!

Really nice place

Review Submitted: June 23, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
Was at this condo for a week in June and it's really nice for lots of reasons: Location is fantastic; the building is a Leed certified Green building so very modern and eco-friendly; very clean and well maintained condo on a high floor so it's very quiet; employees in the building are all extremely friendly and helpful; condo is located in the hotel district so getting a cab is literally a snap of the fingers; and there's lots of nice restaurants nearby.

Just one little detractor, which is the bed is a double and not a queen, so it's a bit small for 2 people, especially if you are on the tall side.

Other than that - I highly recommend this unit and will certainly rent it again.

I used this rental while I was attending a conference at the Convention Center - less than 10 minute walk away. The location is safe; there are numerous restaurants within a ten-minute walk.... I walked everywhere (but then I'm a walker!) - the White House, U Street, Chinatown, Dupont Circle.
The unit is just as described and very clean and quiet; it does not face the street. There is a large storage closet near the bed and in the washer/dryer closet in the bathroom. I had no problems. Perhaps one of the highlights is the roof deck. I was in DC perhaps the first warm Friday night in April and there were only a few other people out - and they were all in one group! Although I didn't see Ben, I know he was available if I had needed him. I would most definitely recommend this rental to a friend...and come back myself! There is not a separate bedroom; the futon converts to a couch and is right next to the bed. However, it is no different than having 2 beds in one hotel room - and you get the large bath, kitchen and dining area and washer and dryer - making it a great living space!

This is, as billed, a very nice contemporary studio in a wonderful location for walking and getting around via the Metro. There are many fine restaurants withing walking distance (Georgia Brown's, The Tabard Inn to name a few. The Waffle Shop is fun). The kitchen setup works fine with a huge refrigerator, nice range, and studio size dishwasher. The studio had everything we needed with the exception of Kleenex (a nice and inexpensive amenity), a light in the very spacious closet, and a couple of hooks to hang clothes and/or jammies. There were plenty of hangers. Another towel rack in the bathroom would be nice too. Remember to bring your own bath soap.
