Handicapped users beware

I rented this property from 08/17-08/24 after being told by the owner that the condo was handicapped accessible as it was advertised on this site. After arriving I discovered that none of the bathrooms are handicapped accessible as per the American with Disabilities Act. After I returned home I contacted the owner ( by email) and the 'Handicapped Accessible' description on this site was removed shortly. I'm an old Vietnam veteran, who is use to overcoming barriers after almost 40 years in a wheelchair so I perservered and used the bathroom facilities at the pier on Folly Beach. I never received an apology or acknowledgement from the owners after my informing them that they were incorrect in their advertisement.
The condo does have an elevator for access, but generally speaking the place has poor accessibilty for those dependent on wheelchairs. The dorrways are very narrow, the kitchen is so narrow that I could not open the cabinets and refridgerator.
Had the owners even thanked me for my feedback I would recommend the home to anyone that has full mobility but they didn't.
Owner's Response: This home is accessible by elevator. It is not advertised or furnished as handicap equipped. The attached pictures reflect home furnishings and views.
